Description

This gite sleeps up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms. A large double en suite is on the ground floor with a bath and a shower. Upstairs there is a double and a twin room both of which have a small en suite shower. The other 2 twin rooms share the family shower room. The living room tv has both French channels and British 'Free-to-view' channels. There is also a wood burning stove in case of any chilly evenings. The lounge/diner has a dining table to sit 10 people, and the kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Outside you will find a barbecue and table and chairs for those 'al fresco' meals. There is a washing line at the back of the gite. The gite is situated in the grounds of the Manoir de Kerdeven built around the middle of the 16th century. There is an oak tree outside the gite that is around 500 years old and the gite has use of a large playing field. Kerdeven is within a short drive of popular towns such as St. Brieuc and Quimper. The beautiful Lac de Guerlédan is a short drive away as too is the Nantes to Brest canal, perfect for walking, cycling and having a picnic. The popular Rose Granite coastline is also within driving distance.

Please note there is no Wi-Fi in the gite.

We welcome dogs here but they must be kept on a lead while outside and dogs are not to be left alone unsupervised in the gite.

Getting around

Places such as St Brieuc and Concarneau are just over an hours drive away and you'll find public transport in the towns. Bus routes can be found by calling in the tourist office.

Interaction with guest

I will be available during your stay here. when you arrive I'll greet you and hand you the keys and I can usually be found either in the main house or in the grounds. If you need anything don't hesitate to call in the house or send me a text message if you can't find me. I can suggest things to do while you stay here and am more than happy to help.

House rules

Smoking is only allowed outside the gite. Well behaved pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead and dog mess is to be bagged and thrown in the bins provided. As the gite uses a fosse system nothing other than toilet paper is to go into the toilet and only biodegradable/products suitable for a fosse are to be used. If a breakage occurs during your stay please inform us if it is serious however if a glass, for instance, is broken just buy a replacement.
