Description

Polmaro is a modern self contained apartment located overlooking the Percuil River at Freshwater Boatyard in St Mawes. There is a small balcony where you can sit out and enjoy the views over the river or watch the boats coming & going at the boatyard quay.

Polmaro is perfect for a couple seeking a great value base in St Mawes with river views.

Polmaro can also used in conjunction with Pelyn, our other property at this location, to provide great value accommodation for up to 4 people wanting to stay in St Mawes.

There are lovely walks along the Percuil River and it is about a 10 minute walk along the river to St Mawes Harbour with all its pubs & restaurants. It is a fantastic base for exploring the area particularly for walkers as the ferries in St Mawes will take you to either Falmouth or across the river to Place Manor. If you have your own boat, moorings are available for hire from the boatyard. Small motor boats and a sailing boat can be hired from St Mawes Boat Hire on St Mawes Quay in the village itself.

Accommodation

First Floor Only: There is an external staircase that leads to the front door. The double bedroom (4'6" bed) has views over the Percuil River (although please note from October to May this view may be obscured by boats being stored on the quay). The WC & Shower room is to one side of the hallway. The main kitchen/lounge area is spacious for a one bedroom property with breakfast table, electric hob & cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and cafetiere. There are two sofas in the lounge area. The views across the river are superb with a fully glazed door onto the small balcony.

Exterior: There is a small outside table and chairs on the balcony.

Facilities & Services

Inclusive electricity & heating (night storage and electric heaters). Duvets, linen & towels are provided. Moorings, boat storage and boat hire can be arranged. Netflix and on-demand TV is available for guests at no charge. WiFi is available at the property - however please note that due to the location neither speed nor strength can be relied upon.

Miscellaneous

Parking for 1 vehicle. Regrettably no pets are allowed in Polmaro and smoking is not permitted. There are local shops, pubs & restaurants approximately 10 minute walk away around St Mawes Harbour. Other pubs are available in Portscatho (about 10 mins drive), Philleigh (about 10 mins), Ruan Lanihorne (20 mins) or Veryan (15 mins) It is important to note that the property is located on a working boatyard and there might be the odd bit of noise from work being undertaken on boats. There is a reasonable amount of activity in front of the property. From October to May, boats are stored on the hardstanding and right in front of the property which may affect both the light and the views across the river. Polmaro will welcome babes in arms only - please bring your own travel cot. Regrettably no toddlers due to location.

Interesting location overlooking working small boatyard . Well equipped clean and comfortable. Very good guide to St Mawes and Roseland peninsula compiled by owner. Would hope to go back
