Large 2-storey house is located on the edge of the village, to the North from Ubud center and surrounded by tropical trees. Distance until Monkey Forest and Ubud downtown is about 5-7 minutes by scooter or car. Thanks to good location close to the river and far from big roads, the house is not noisy, cool and pleasant. The abundance of wooden elements in the interior and design, white walls, white marble floors form a creative atmosphere of respectability and calmness.

Before the house, constructed in classic Balinese architectural style, are situated a small lawn and home Balinese temple. Top-hat shape of the roof and the traditional national design elements allow guests feel yourself in this authentic house not only like a tourist, but also like a local resident.

Entering the house, you find yourself in a spacious living room studio with a separate kitchen area. The abundance of wooden elements in the interior and design of the house, white walls, white marble floors form a creative atmosphere of respectability and calmness. Furniture in traditional and contemporary style, good zoning, creative accessories, made by Balinese craftsmen, supplement the space. Hammock gives a sense of peace and rest. In large living area, about 80 square meters, is organized multiple zones for work and relaxation (tables + furniture). The combination of classic furniture from dark wood with light sofas from bamboo gives freedom of choice. Transparent glass wall reinforce feelings of spaciousness and natural freshness. Next to the living room is the master bedroom, where the center position occupies a luxurious double bed with mosquito net. The house has two bathrooms - for guests in the living room, for tenants in a bedroom.

There are 2 others rooms right under the roof. They look more like the attic rooms; there are a basic mattresses supplied in each. 2 wooden staircases lead to the second floor: one from the living room, one from bedroom. They are appropriate for single, children from 7-8 years or for a calm rest. There is a nice view to the Balinese jungle from here. When more than 2 guests stay in The River House they are usually sleep upstairs. We can place single bed in every room at the second floor.

Speed of Internet: ping 41, download 26 Mb, upload 5 Mb (checked by SpeedTest app). Distance until Ubud center around 3 km or 5-7 minutes by car/scooter. Usual price for the ride from our villa until Ubud center from taxi drivers is about 50-80 IDR (4-6 USD). Territory, where house is located, fenced.

My family lives in Ubud too, but not in this village. When I planned the construction of the The River House, I used my experience and vision of the artist. I wanted to find a balance between convenience, creativity, respectability from the one hand and closeness to the nature from the other hand. Please come and appreciate!
