Welcome to the CHI Centre!
CHI (Chinese for Energizing Life Force) stands for “Centre for Healthy and Happy Individuals”
Many Visitors have commented “I love the CHI Centre, it has such a Beautiful Energy” which Guests are welcome to come and Enjoy and Bask in.
Whether you are an Independent Traveller (we’ll look after you!), a Family (Kids love it here!), a Couple (we do get Honeymooners!), or want to come with a group of Friends (we accommodate up to 14 people), our aim is to make sure that you have a Wonderful Holiday, here with us and yours is to enjoy it to the max!
We offer Massage Therapies, Yoga and Tai Chi Sessions and Hopi Indian Ear Candle Treatments. If you want to loose weight, give up addictions, adopt a Healthier Lifestyle, Christy is a Health Educator and a couple of private sessions with her will put you on the right track. If it’s Counselling you need, Christy is a Highly Qualified Life Coach who helps people through difficult Life Changes. If you want Acupuncture, Homeopathy or Chiropractic Treatments, we can arrange it for you.
For those who want some Spiritual Uplifting, we offer Meditation Classes and Seasonal Ceremonies. In the Evening you can do Moon Bathing and Star Gazing, in the Garden on our Comfortable Lounge Beds or Hammocks.
We specialize in Vegetarian/Vegan Food. Our Speciality is our Full Vegan Breakfast (even our meat eaters enjoy it!).
Christy teaches Organic Gardening Classes as well as Plant based Cookery Classes. If you have a group of Friends who are interested, you can book and request your choice.
We are located 2 minutes from the best Beach in Barbados - Carlisle Bay, where you can snorkel in the shipwrecks or just sunbathe, walk & swim! Our beaches are amazing with white clean sand and turquoise crystal clear waters!!
The Property is set in 1 1/2 acres of beautiful organic tropical gardens where no toxic chemicals have been used for 26 years. We grow organic fruits, herbs and veggies.
Christy is also an Unique Artist and Crafts person. Her Amazing Artwork can be displayed around the house for sale-just ask her!

A reservation, whether by letter, e-mail, or telephone, is a legally binding contract. To protect against late cancellation and Guests not turning up, we are obliged to put the following policy into place.
If your booking with The Chi Centre is cancelled more than 60 days before your arrival date, no charge will be made.
If your booking with The Chi Centre is cancelled 30 days or less, before your arrival date, there is no refund!
No shows, late arrivals, reduction in the number of people in the group, and early departures are all non-refundable.
In the Event of a Guest arriving a day earlier, or wanting to leave a day or 2 later, if we have the room available we are happy to look after you!

Response from the owner Thank you for your valuable feedback. Since your stay we have now upgraded the two Apartments, and you can no longer hear noises from the Kitchen, and the Musseanda Patio is no longer used for staff to pass through as we have now made a new gate in the last section. As you mentioned the dogs disturbing you, we discovered if we put our dogs in our kennel at night, the neighbours dogs keep quite! Easy solution! and as you said for the second night it worked! There are 3 overhead lights and 2 bedside lights in the Musseanda Studio so I am surprised you mention 'low' lighting, if you had told us we could have shown you where the switches are or even given you another lamp, we do do everything in our power to please our Guests, but they do have to tell us!! The same goes for Breakfast, if there is something you do not like, please tell us so we will not give it to you! There are virtually no ornaments in the Musseanda Apartment so your comment surprised me! and there is Air conditioning, but as mentioned in our Blurb, it is at extra cost. Most Guests do not require it as our Apartments are very cool and a stand up or wall fan works very efficiently! But the AC units are there if guests require AC and are prepared to pay the extra cost. The 'maintenance fee' is only $50US and covers cleaning before you arrive, and any repairs or replacement of broken crockery or glasses after you leave, this is instead of charging a damages fee. The choice to tour the garden is yours, most of our Guests love to learn about the tropical Flowers, Herbs and Fruit Trees that we grow organically all year round, but if you are not interested, no problem! We offer it at the beginning of your stay so you can stretch your legs after the long international flights from US, Canada and Europe. As we are a 'Green - ENvironmentally Friendly Destination, most of our Guests love nature and our gardens and delight in learning about the tropical flowers, herbs and fruits, and enjoy watching parrots, hummingbirds, and our wild monkeys run through the gardens, but any Guest can refuse the tour - it is your choice! I'm glad you appreciated our low prices, and good value, compared to Hotels, which we are not! I do believe toilets break down in Hotels as well!! I'm also glad you valued our trusted, reasonable and reliable taxi driver who works with us year round.
