Newly remodeled, 5 BR, gated 1.5 acre lake view estate and walk to the village with a new hot tub!
This spectacular tri-level home features hand-hewn log siding, 27’ vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors throughout, a home theatre, kids’ fun room, sleeping accommodations for up to 16+ and ample parking for 6 cars and boat trailer.
Completely fenced and gated for security, the Grand Cameron Estate offers unmatched access to all Big Bear’s amenities—4 to 6 minutes by car to Snow Summit and 10 minutes to Bear Mountain; 3 minutes by car to the lake and nearest marina and only a 5-minute walk to the Village center. (The owner provides a gate opener remote control that tenants will be responsible for during stay. A replacement fee will be charged if gate opener is lost or damaged.)
Inside you will find 3 levels, each with its own spacious deck, new outdoor hot tub and lake view.
From top to bottom:
Master Bedroom #1:
Sleeps 2 in a pillow-top King-size bed along with a couch/bed suitable for a young child (2 “Pack ‘n Plays” are also available.) Of course, HDTV is provided. The private balcony/deck overlooking the lake adjoins the Master.
Enjoy virtually unlimited hot water thanks to a newly installed high-volume tankless water system capable of running 4 showers simultaneously! The master bath features double sinks, a whirlpool tub, and separate shower.
The loft overlooking the living, dining and kitchen areas below provides a superb view of the village and lake. Here you’ll find a full-size pool table, semi-circular wine bar, and an electronic keyboard. The loft has 2 double futons (sleeps 4) with an adjoining 1/2 bath.
The gourmet island kitchen features stainless steel appliances including double ovens, microwave, a large capacity Keurig coffee maker, granite counter tops, and a 5-burner gas cooktop. It even has a separate built-in wine refrigerator.
Main Dining Area:
Adjoining both the kitchen and living room, the open floor plan offers a semi-circular bay- windowed area with a 7’-round dining table with seating for 8. The table itself is a unique work of art. The base of the table is an inverted eucalyptus tree trunk supporting a 3/4” beveled glass top.
An alcove area alongside the kitchen provides additional seating for 6 diners and the kitchen’s island bar adds 5 stools. Even an antique high-chair is included. In all, there is seating for up to 20 people!
A 27’ vaulted log ceiling and a soaring stone wood-burning fireplace accent this spectacular gathering area. Cathedral windows overlook the village and lake beyond. A one-of-a kind hand-crafted wrought iron chandelier is suspended from the ceiling providing dimmable light from its 12 vintage sconces. A spacious outside deck, complete with gas and coal barbecues, opens up directly from the living room.
There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor each with a queen-size bed and a shared, full bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms have access to a common deck that faces the rear of the property, the village, and lake beyond.
Just to the right of the entry hall and conveniently across from the two main floor bedrooms, you will find the laundry room with a washer and dryer.
Master BR #2:
There are 2 queen-size beds with direct outside access. The bathroom associated with this bedroom is unique in that offers a combination shower and steam room with 8-person tiered seating. (This bathroom and steam shower can be accessed from a hall by all guests.)
Up to 4 kids can sleep in the lower double bed and the upper and lower bunk beds. The associated bathroom also directly connects to the Fun Room.
Adjoining the bunkbed BR, kids and adults alike will enjoy comfortable TV viewing along with games, a multi game arcade machine, and Foosball table.
The state-of-the-art media room provides seating for 8 persons in reclining loungers tiered for unimpeded viewing of the 85” 4K UHD Sony TV. Incredible surround sound is delivered from a Sonos speaker system consisting of a center soundbar, woofer, and rear speakers. Dimmable column lighting along with track and cove lights enhance the experience. Also, the media room is heated.
All flooring, with the exception of the bathroom floors, is hardwood. All 5 TV’s including the Media Room are HDTV’s utilizing DirecTV. (The DirecTV dish is heated to prevent signal loss during snowfall periods.) Hot water is provided via a high capacity tankless system. The entire property is fenced. The Village can be accessed either from the driveway entry or town-side gate. Security can be further enhanced by activating the in-home alarm system and/or the private entry gate.
