Aloha and welcome to Luana Inn! After operating as a bed and breakfast for eleven years, we have transitioned to a vacation rental. We feel that we have the perfect venue for destination weddings, family reunions or group retreats for guests looking for a peaceful destination in the heart of stunning South Kona.

At just three hundred feet above sea level in South Kona’s tranquil Kealakekua Bay Historical Marine Reserve, our estate offers stunning, panoramic views of the whole Kealakekua, Ke'ei, Napo'opo'o area. We’re within walking distance of Napo’opo’o Pier and Manini beach - the gateway to extraordinary Kealakekua Bay - and within minutes of quiet, sandy Ke'ei Beach, Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Park, Two Step and the Captain Cook Monument trail. We are perfectly situated for guests who want to fully experience this spectacular area as well as explore the entire Big Island.

Being a Makai (ocean) property we have two seasons, a dry microclimate and a bright, open, airy property. The Inn consists of two homes, a spacious modern home and a Hawaiian Ohana cottage for a total of five oversized guest rooms.

Our style is simple, clean, and modern. All five guest rooms include modern amenities and comforts including: private bathrooms, luxurious memory foam mattresses, kitchenettes, air conditioners, flat screen TV’s with BlueRay players, and free WiFi. The property includes an ocean view pool lanai with round custom pool and hot tub, covered lanai with BBQ, laundry facilities, beach toys, and a common area with books, phone, and sitting area for shared guest use.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
