ATTENTION ALL CYCLING FANS! THE TOUR DE FRANCE FINISHES A LEG OF THE RACE IN NEARBY POITIERS 8TH JULY 2020, BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

Chez Tournesol is one of 3 gites available at Gites du Marigné. It is a beautifully refurbished barn conversion set in over 2 acres of meadow and gardens. .A further 3 bedroom gite, Chez Hiboux and a one bedroomed cottage, La Petite Maison are also on site and can be booked individually or together. We keep organically fed chickens in our fruit orchard and delicious fresh eggs are available. Tournesol has a double bedroom and family room with 3 single beds. A cot and highchair is available free of charge if needed. There is a good sized family bathroom, living area with wood burning stove, TV, DVD player and a selection of films, books and games for your use. WIFI is also available. The kitchen area has all you need for your stay, including a microwave and dishwasher. All linens and towels are provided as well as a welcome hamper. Tournesol has a small private patio and barbeque area with garden furniture and access to the large, heated pool and children's play area. We also have a petanque pitch and a variety of outdoor play equipment, freely available. For cosy breaks away in the colder months, a complimentary barrow of wood is provided from November to April. Although we are in a beautiful, rural setting, we are only a 5 minute drive away from local shops and the market town of Civray which has markets twice a week, great boulangerie and charcuterie. The area is excellent for cycling and canoeing. Bike hire can be arranged on site, please ask us for details. Well behaved dogs are welcome at a small charge.

“Perfect place to relax and slow down”

The location is amazing - the area is so peaceful but there's plenty to do within driving distance. Jeany and Paul were fabulous hosts and the gites are beautiful. I can't wait to come back!
