A multi award-winning exceptional Grade I listed fortified manor that has undergone extensive renovation bringing the two embattled peele towers back into use for the first time in more than 300 years.

Blencowe Hall sits on a bluff above the small river Peterill and is encompassed by its own fields incorporating access to a tributary to the River Petterill. This luxurious holiday let accommodation can be taken with or with out full catering and has views to the nearby Lakeland fells and across the rolling Eden Valley.

Blencowe Hall is on the edge of the Lake District, 4 miles from the Lake District National Park and about 7 miles from Lake Ullswater. Close at hand is the Aira Force National Trust waterfall offering a great combination of a boulder strewn stream for young at heart to paddle in, a tea shop and a scenic walk up to the peak of Gowbarrow Fell.

Guests are just a short walk from the small hamlet of Blencowe and just over a mile from the village of Greystoke which is dominated by Greystoke Castle and its 3000 acre estate which is accessible for public walks (maps provided). Greystoke village has a friendly, traditional pub (The Boot and Shoe) and a great village shop. Blencowe Hall is certified by Visit England as 'Pets Welcome' and there is plenty of room for pets to run around in the extensive gardens and grounds. Blencowe Hall has also achieved 'Families Welcome' 'Walkers Welcome' and 'Cyclists Welcome' standards from Visit England which means we provide additional equipment, facilities and information for guests relating to these areas.

Blencowe Hall is located a short drive from Penrith train station which is on the West Coast Main Line, the railway linking London to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh & Glasgow. The nearby villages offer wonderful walks and cycle rides with beautiful scenery. Ullswater ‘Steamers’ is an award winning environmentally accredited Lake District attraction celebrating over 150 years of operating cruises on England’s most beautiful lake. Operating one of the largest heritage vessel fleets in the world, offering visitors an experience they will never forget for 363 days a year. Cruises connect to some of the most famous and iconic walking routes in the National Park, with views of Wordsworth's Daffodils on the west shore in Spring.

We also send our guests local information about 'what's on' in the area during their stay. Guests have sole occupancy of the property during their stay and our Manager is available by telephone at all times.

How do damage deposits work?
