Description

Turleum lodge is one of three self catering and extremely spacious, luxury 5* lodges constructed with solid logs; each with the same layout, sleeping a maximum 6 guests; **please note, this lodge is let without a hot-tub.**

The ground floor has a feature entrance hall with L-shaped staircase up to a balcony landing. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with king-size bed adjacent to a spacious shower-room with WC and wash basin, the living area (with patio doors),dining-room and kitchen are open-plan with quality furnishings and well equipped kitchen facilities. A separate utility/boot room leads to the rear entrance. The First floor has a double bedroom equipped with twin beds and enjoys a great morning sunrise with beautiful views. The superior luxury master bedroom with super king-sized bed and walk-out balcony, has its own extremely lavish en-suite bathroom, boasting a stunning free standing bath and designer wash basins, wc and a large walk-in shower, all adding to that special touch for anniversary, honeymoon or any romantic occasion. Once you have experienced your first stay at Mountwood Lodges you will find it difficult not coming back. Our other 2 lodges have their own personal HOT-TUB, contact us for details.

Edinburgh and Glasgow, a mere 45min drive. St. Andrews (Golf) 40 mins. Perth, top restaurants aplenty 10mins. Auchterarder, local shops and hotels and bars 5mins. Smiddy Haugh Inn Aberuthven 2mins (Food and Drink) Nice walk in good weather.

Interaction with guest

Lorna is on hand most of the time to help with any problem or for advice on eating places and recreational venues in the area. Lovely walks around the farm, woodlands and by the river are recommended, with a host of resident wildlife keeping you enthralled.

Spent a week in Turlem Lodge with a group of friends for Solheim Cup at Gleneagles - what a fabulous place to stay. Couldn’t quite believe just how peaceful the location is, yet an easy drive to many surrounding places. The lodge is outstanding - spotlessly clean, has everything you could need and beautifully furnished too. Just loved the master bedroom & en-suite A big thank you to Lorna for the welcome basket and for being on hand anytime we needed anything - super host. Can’t recommend highly enough and will definitely be back.

We stayed at Turleum Lodge for a Monday to Friday break. The lodge is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated - we didn't want to leave. Lots of lovely little details show that the owners really care about the property and their visitors. Lorna met us at the gate and gave us a quick lodge tour. A welcome basket in the kitchen was a lovely touch and all consumables such as dishwasher tablets, hand soaps, tea towels and toilet rolls are supplied. Lorna gave us great information about local attractions and transport suggestions too. Such a warm and friendly host who also was on hand should we need anything. The lodge is well appointed and so peaceful and quiet. No light pollution so the view of the stars is perfect. Beds are comfortable with crisp bedding and tasteful decor. The outdoor area is beautifully maintained. Handy for visiting Stirling and Edinburgh - it was worth the 8 hour drive and we highly recommend a stay. We would love to revisit!

My wife and I spent a four night break at Turleum Lodge from 17th to 21st August 2018. The lodge is outstanding luxury accommodation in a terrific peaceful setting which is also very well located for exploring Perthshire, Fife and beyond. The owner Lorna was so very genuine, welcoming and friendly. This accommodation is highly recommended and we will be back!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Eric and Lorna (the owner) a message.

If Eric and Lorna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
