Exceptional stone faced, 5 bedroom holiday home enjoying sea views to the west. It is situated in a lovely private estate about 5 minutes’ walk from the village of Spiddal and from the beach.

Spiddal hosts lovely restaurants, hotel, pubs and shops in a dramatically beautiful and Gaelic speaking area. Good area for lake and sea fishing. Also a large choice of restaurants within a few miles and along the Wild Atlantic Way. Scenic drive to Barna, Galway, Clifden, Moycullen(Open Pet Farm & Play areas) and Ballyconneely (18 hole golf course). Fascinating area to explore with many islands, historic remains and fine sandy beaches. Garden furniture and barbecue.

My family and I are just back from a week's stay here - using it as a base for exploring Inishbofin and Galway. Margaret and Declan were great hosts, providing us with info and answering any questions we had prior to arrival and meeting us at the house on the day we arrived to give us info on the house, the area and answer any other questions we had. They left us a lovely wee welcome pack too - thanks very much! The house is very well equipped and spacious - we had 10 grown ups/teenagers staying and it didn't feel crowded. There was plenty linen and extra towels available too. It's based in a nice quiet cul-de-sac but only 5-10 mins walk into the centre of Spiddal, which has several pubs, cafes and a couple of wee restaurants - all filled with a good mix of (very friendly and welcoming) locals and tourists alike. There's also a fairly frequent bus service into Galway or a taxi costs approx 40-45 euros. A great base for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way, would recommend

We stayed in this lovely house for 5 nights whilst visiting family close by. The house was beautifully presented and had everything you could need - a home away from home. Margaret and Declan were perfect hosts - going to the trouble to meet us on arrival and answer any questions we might have and even leaving a welcome package for us and the children - which was much appreciated. The house is perfectly situated to explore the local area. We all really enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next trip back! Five star rating from us.
