You get a pocketful of sunshine at this location in JANUARY 2020. Please avoid Friday travel and be sure to LEAVE the cold, and maybe even your ice & snow by visiting SAN DIEGO. "You cannot beat this LOCATION," say many repeat guests. It's a super-clean, up-to date style, one bedroom, one bath condo with picture-perfect views at the quiet tip of Mission Beach. You and your loved one can stay on the patio to ENJOY the relaxing water views with sailboats, a surprise dolphin, even a seal family of 3 that head right to the Pacific Ocean. No extra walking or winter coats needed at this place!

This condo compares to a scenic hotel with a few extras: irresistible price, great people watching, close to both the ocean waves and calmer bay-side, a full kitchen w/cookware and utensils, plenty of towels for the Jacuzzi, shampoo + toiletries, and entertaining toys (see listing). Have a party of 4? In this small space there are 2 super comfy queen-size beds, one in the separate bedroom and other in the living room (see pics) Sleeps 4 comfortably with fresh, clean linens and ironed pillowcases. Washer and dryers on site for $1 each (bring quarters). Past guests comment on the versatile floor plan, sturdy furniture, & 2 big-screen TVs. "There is nothing cheap or fragile in this place!" Cable & WiFi provide TV, sports, movies on Demand, music and jokes. This winter collect shells, fish, ride bikes/scooters, and roast marshmallows right outside the door. January is whale watching season with boat trips just a car ride away.

Most guest said, "We prefer'd to sit in the courtyard from sunrise to sunset. 2 grills to use when you stock up on groceries & BYOB."

Hostess has this idea: For a party weekend ~ Call an Uber to go to Garnett Avenue to do a beach bar crawl. Make reservations at the not-so-secret speakeasy called the Grass Skirt. ~~~Or head downtown and pick a nightclub to laugh or dance the night away.

Getting around

Locals prefer Uber, but find bikes and scooters to rent right outside the front gate. Walk or bike to salads, hamburgers, sandwiches, a mom/pop grocery store, take out breakfast, kebabs, pizza & pasta, and 2 beach bars w/ music on Sundays. Delivery is always available too! #Uber and Lyft are good choices when wanting to visit Downtown San Diego, the USS Midway Ship, Sea World, or numerous restaurants and nightlife. Drive your own car or rent one from Alamo or the affordable "Rent a Wreck" if you want to visit the Zoo or Disneyland.

“Great Vacation spot”

Myself, husband and 4 year old daughter stayed here. It was thoughtfully prepared for our arrival with many extras available for our use (beach towels and chairs, bikes, and more) Being so close to the Beach allowed morning walks to collect shells while drinking coffee. I hope to be able to stay again when we vacation this summer!
