The Tide Pool Cabin is in an unbeatable location at the edge of downtown Ocean Shores. It’s situated directly on the undeveloped and protected ocean-front sand dunes next to hotels, restaurants and shops and is across the street from the city’s PGA-rated golf course.

The Tide Pool Cabin is designed to stand out. The unique and stunning architecture all started with an observation: If you drive around the Washington coast, you are surrounded by nature yet it looks nothing like the décor of the local buildings. The natural landscape of this region is a tapestry of colors and textures woven together in perfect balance. We took our cues from these beautiful surroundings and created an experience unlike any other that is inspired by nature and the local Quinault indigenous culture — an authentic experience where the time spent indoors rivals that of the time spent exploring the natural beauty of the Washington coast.

From the fearless use of colors, textures and materials, to the attention to every detail, the Tide Pool Cabin is sure to impress. The Tide Pool Cabin both energizes and relaxes simultaneously, just as nature does. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge and be inspired to create memories with your friends and family that will last a lifetime.

Well-behaved pets are absolutely welcome for a $50+tax fee.

House specifications

Three quarters of the house is on the first floor, which has vaulted ceilings throughout and has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area. The other part of the house is two stories with 8’ ceilings.

The kitchen features a large farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances and all the dishes, silverware, glassware, utensils and other equipment you could possibly need during your stay to prepare gourmet meals when you decide to eat in.

The dining room has space for eight at the table with a shimmering capiz chandelier overhead.

The living room has an old-fashioned wood-burning fireplace, a 70” LED TV and a large custom couch that seats seven. The living room continues upstairs to the ocean observation lounge and second floor deck overlooking the yard, sand dunes and ocean. The upstairs has a chaise lounge, corner chair and a couch that pulls out into a full size bed for extra sleeping space. The second-floor deck has two outdoor chaise lounges.

The front porch has an outdoor sitting area with a woven wicker couch, chairs and lamps. The back porch has two metal pub tables and stools with a dual charcoal/propane barbeque as well as a fire pit and chairs in the yard.

After spending a day exploring the beach, you eventually must sleep. At the Tide Pool Cabin you will feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud. Each bedroom is complete with pillow-top memory foam mattresses, triple sheeting with high-thread count linens, hypoallergenic down alternative pillows, comforters and plush woven cotton blankets. Each bedroom also features cotton Turkish bathrobes, terrycloth slippers, a mini-fridge, Kureig coffee maker… each bedroom is a suite unto itself.

The Tide Pool Cabin has two bedrooms:

\- Bedroom One features one queen bed with an en suite bathroom.

\- Bedroom Two features two queen beds and is just a couple steps away from the house’s grand bathroom.

The house has two bathrooms:

\- Bathroom One is attached to Bedroom One and features a single vanity, and single shower.

\- Bathroom Two is shared by Bedroom Two and the common areas of the house. The second bathroom is truly a showstopper. It features a heated floor, dual vanities and a massive 5’ x 5’ shower with dual shower heads.

The fine print

The beach in Ocean Shores is constantly expanding. Over the past 50 years, since Ocean Shores was founded, the ocean has continued to gradually move farther away creating large protected sand dunes between the hotels and the ocean. So, while this property is technically “ocean front” it’s probably more accurate to say it’s “dune front” these days. This can be good or bad depending on your perspective. These days it’s a bit of a walk to the ocean. However, it’s a beautiful stroll as you walk through the protected sand dunes. All hotels and houses at the beach in downtown Ocean Shores are the same distance from the ocean.
