Description

Cuatro Vientos is an exclusive, detached, open plan style, 4 bedroom villa, with large private pool and mature gardens of half an acre. The villa is surrounded by a pine and eucalyptus wood in a setting that can only be described as idyllic. It is a prefect place one or two families to spend a quiet holiday away from everybody else if that is what you are looking for. The beaches here are some of the best and quietest you will find on the Mediterranean coast. L' Escala is just a couple of minutes drive away with many well stock supermarkets and local food producers. Restaurants in the area including in st. Marti, just a few minutes walk away are operating at lower capacities with more social distancing as you would expect at this time.

The villa was recently refurbished, yet retains its original layout having been designed for use by either one or two families. The house is based across one level. In the centre is large open plan lounge, dining and well appointed kitchen area. Doors lead from the open plan area left and right to two identical sleeping areas. The doors, one on each side lead to a vestibule with cloakroom space and these in-turn lead to two bedrooms and a bathroom for each side. This layout makes the house ideal for two families to holiday together, yet still retain the sleeping and washing areas as private.

Large Patio doors and panoramic windows in the lounge area open out over the fabulous south east orientated, extremely private gardens of over half an acre, which are an oasis of peace and tranqulity.

This privileged property is situated on a private road running behind the Greek and Roman ruins of Empuires and is only a short walk from some of the Costa Brava´s most beautiful beaches at Empuries. The villa and gardens are orientated to the south east making the villa bright, yet true to it´s name ´Cuatro Vientos' (four winds), there is always a cooling breeze, making the house pleasant during even the hottest of summer weather.

Whether you are looking for a quiet location for a relaxed beach holiday or an action packed adventure, the area of St. Marti d´Empuries and L´Escala really do have so much to offer, from scuba diving to horse riding, sailing lessons to coastal walks, golf to gastronomy or simply relaxing on a sun lounger with a good book!

The house is a near mirror image left to right, meaning the bedroom sections left and right are nearly identical. The bedrooms are nearly all identical in size, each contain, a wardrobe and a dressing table. Bedrooms 1 & 3 have side windows plus patio doors overlooking the gardens to the front (bedroom 1 contains a double bed, bedroom 3 contains twin beds). Berdooms 3 and 4 have dual aspect windows and both contain twin beds. The villa has oil fired central heating, making it a perfect holiday base all year long.

The gardens are approximately 3/4 of an acre in size and are extremely private and not overlooked. There are also three covered terrace areas, two are located to the front of the building. The third is located to the rear and has a 10 seat dining table and is perfect for dining alfresco located next to the terrace is a brick built BBQ and a further fridge for storing cold drinks. Steps lead from the dining terrace up to the Roof Solarium which has views that can only be described as stunning, Eastwards is the village of St Marti and the bay of Roses. To the west is the richly fertile plain El Emporda; with its dramatic back drop of the Pyrenees Mountains which are snow topped throughout winter and springtime. The swimming pool is 14m x 7m and as well as two outdoor shower areas.

“Superb location, fantastic pool & service”

have just returned from Cuatro Vientos and was delighted with it. superb location near to st martin d'emupuries village (restaurants) and beaches...these are definitely the pick of the beaches in the area - not so busy, great views, clean & clear water for watersports including snorkelling. it is an upmarket area with the more traditional resort of l'escala very close. tennis, padel, golf all nearby. range of restaurants and beach bars is great especially 'va i ve' for fab salads and sandwiches and cold beers. Can Roura in village was really excellent - top class food. villa itself is very handy. we hired bikes and discovered local tracks. nou emporda even delivered and picked up the bikes at the end of the stay. the pool is huge and was very necessary given our 35c+ heat most days...no aircon but fans made it ok to sleep. Jonathan was superb in dealing with all our questions and gave great tips on best of local area. he even came late one night to let us in when we locked ourselves out!! many thanks
