Description

Our apartment is in the Las Brisas development on a hill overlooking the town of Puerto de Mazarron. This lovely penthouse is on the top (3rd) floor, and benefits from stunning views of the mountain ranges that surround the bay of Mazarron. On our large private roof terrace you can have al fresco lunch under the pergola or soak up the sun on the loungers. We have furnished in a comfortable, contemporary style to make the most of this spacious, light and airy apartment.
The complex has a fantastic communal pool with a special divided shallow area for little ones. In the Summer there is also a life guard. By the pool there are changing rooms, showers and toilets, as well as plenty of space for lounging. Very relaxing! We have a dedicated space in the secure underground car park to keep your car cool, and a lift to take you to the door of the penthouse. The beaches, shops, bars and restaurants are all within a 10-minute walk.
This is a perfect place to either spend your well-earned holiday relaxing, or exploring the beautiful local area. There is a great system of marked walks locally and regionally; you can hire bikes; or take the plunge with a dive school. The area also has a surprisingly full calendar of sporting, cultural and festival events. Really, you could have 5 types of holiday in one!
There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, a bathroom, a lounge/dining room and a kitchen, and a spacious hallway. As well as the private roof terrace, there is another balcony accessed from the living room and double bedroom.

“Fab apartment”

My family and I stayed here in February for a week and had a wonderful time. Our transfer from the airport was arranged for us, which made everything so much smoother, and then we were greeted at the apartment by Jo, who was very helpful and informative. She showed us round and pointed out how to get to the shops etc, The apartment was lovely, having nice balconies and a huge sun terrace, which we used a lot. It’s only a short walk into town, and the town itself is lovely. It was early season so quite quiet, which is what we wanted. Om Sunday the promenade in town came to life with Spanish families all out enjoying the sun and tapas. It was a lovely holiday and I will definitely return.

“A comfortable place to stay with loads around to suit active and inactive”

We had a fantastic 2 weeks here. Lovely and hot. The apartment is spacious, clean and well kept . Even with 2 children you do not need a TV! The kids loved the pool and as an an adult it was nice to be able to swim a decent length. There are some great beaches within walking distance although car or cycle opens up many more. We went mostly to the main beach with the promenade. (I think it's about a mile to swim round all the man made reefs from one end to the other). Make sure you stay there until well after dark and enjoy the nightlife too!. If you're not shy the nudist beaches are worth a visit; quiet little coves. If you have a car get out and explore, national park, hills behind the town, forts etc. Cartagena is worth a visit. Info is all in the folder in the apartment. Cycle hire from Ramon in the town centre is reasonable just check the size of bike if you're tall. Visit the fish market at the bottom of the hill, cheap fresh fruit/veg and fish. Also a great place for breakfast. We had a great time here with enough to satisfy those who want to get out and be active (Dad) and those who want to laze by the pool/beach (everyone else).

“Superbly equipped and secure apartment”

As title. The apartment is very well equipped, you would want for nothing, even beach stuff and maps/ guides are provided. No parking problems and on site swimming pool. The sun trap roof terrace is a nice place to go and hide with a book. It's on the outskirts of Puerto de Mazzaron so a car to get you back and forth from the many beaches is a good idea. Walking will take a good 15 to 20 mins to the nearest beach. Supermarkets and other shops are a 5 minute stroll but beware of cardiac hill on the way back. We walked into town on several evenings to the many bars and restaurants who cater mainly for Spanish holiday makers. Puerto de Mazzaron is definitely not a Brits abroad type of place..not a sniff of El Fish and Chips and Bingo.

“Just great”

Couldn't recommend any higher. A clean, we'll-proportioned apartment with everything you need. This was our 3rd stay - twice with kids and one without. The bonus of not having children is you can really make the most of the private roof terrace! However, with kids you have the pool and the beach within a short walk. Puerto de Mazarron itself has plenty of places of interest with the market, the new marina and the harbour, not to mention the bars and restaurants. There is also supermarkets within 5 minutes walk if you want to cook-in and some good tapas bars on the doorstep.

“Great Place to Stay”

We are just back from a 1 week stay in this great little appartment. It is extremely clean and very very well stocked, so we were able to cook some delicious meals in . There is a very good Italian Restaurant at the end of the hill (3 mins walk). We had a hired car which, unless you are very fit, is necessary as the hill up to the appartment is quite steep. The Roof Terrace is a delight . The double bed is very very low off the ground and I found it quite difficult to get out of the bed, but the mattress was good. The only other downside is that there is no Wi-Fi or DVD player but that can be overcome by bringing a laptop or portable dvd player. The hotel up the road (La Cumbre) allowed me to sit in their Lounge one afternoon, watch the Tennis from Valencia on their TV and use their WiFi and all I had to do was buy a drink! As a place to rent and stay I would very much recommend Las Brisas. The owner is a very efficient, friendly and honest man and I found him a pleasure to do business with.
