Abbey del Sol was recommended by a friend who had been going back for many years. After alot of research on the area and many emails to Pilar we decided to choose Abbey del Sol for our short 4 night stay. We were not dissapointed. Jin picked us up at the airport, took us shopping for food and drinks before taking us to to Abbey 1. Our apartment was just as expected. Very clean and comfortable and wonderfully appointed. Even though there was not a direct view of the ocean we had beautiful palm trees and gardens all around us. The ocean can be seen from the rooftop patio and is just a couple of blocks away. We settled right in and made good use of the bicycles they have available. It was wonderful meeting Pilar. Both Pilar and Jin made us feel like friends and helped us with anything we might of needed. I highly recommend Abbey del Sol.
“Very nice and clean.Great people, very helpful.Enjoyed our stay”

A very nice place to stay, quiet, clean with all the basic needs for our vacation. All the staff was very helpful with information and questions. The town is nice with plenty of great restaurants, a very relaxed place to visit, no hustle and bustle.

We have just enjoyed our fourth year at Abbey Del Sol and have made sure that we have reserved for next year.
This well run establishment lets us enter a state of relaxation as soon as we are picked up from the airport each year. The staff has always been responsive to our needs with their professional and friendly attitudes towards all their visitors.

We enjoyed our little studio so much last year that we returned for a repeat visit this year. Location was just a short walk to beach and restaurants, apt. had all the necessary amenities, including a lovely terrace and palm trees outside the windows, making air conditioning unnecessary both visits. Abby and Tiff are gracious hosts, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. This was also a good location for day trips and overnighters to many of the sites to visit in the Yucatan.

We were very impressed with the property. It was so well landscaped. The apt. was stocked with the basics and we enjoyed using the sharp knives. We also used the rooftop seating area to view the sunrises and sunsets. Jin, the onsite manager was professional and very helpful. We will plan another stay here during our next vacation.

We had the best time at Abbey del Sol. The property was as described and even better. When there were some problems with the electricity at our original unit, Tiff promptly upgraded us to a different unit and made sure someone helped us move. He was an
amazing host and made us feel like we were at home! If we're ever back in the area, we're definitely staying at Abbey del Sol!

We had a short (3 day) stay in a warmly decorated fully equiped studio apartment complete with a private patio where we took our breakfasts, watched the birds and relaxed. Excellent location for access to the beach, short jaunts downtown, and walks to the north of town for exercise and bird life.
We were heading home after three weeks travelling the Yucatan. Puerto Morelos and abbey del Sol provided an excellent place for rest and relaxation ( beach, restaurants, book store, walking trails) before heading back to winter!
We will definetely plan to visit again - and would like to bring our family (children & grandchildren ) with us.
Great orientation to the town provided by our hosts!

When we visit, we feel like we're home with family. Everyone is friendly, and very sweetly gracious. Just ask, and they'll find a way to make it possible. From the time we were picked up at the airport to the sad day we departed, every effort was made to more than accomodate, but to delight! There was a dinner for the guests each week, with local musicians and friends who could share P.M. experiences like snorkeling, tours, massages, etc. Everyone here asks about safety, and we felt very safe and comfortable, both at the room and wherever we went in town. It's obvious the owners have a passion about Mexico by the way they encourage visitors to get out and enjoy the many attractions this area has to offer. They can arrange snorkeling trips, tours to Chichenitza, shopping trips to Cancun or Playa del Carmen, ATV tours, trips to the markets in the Colonnia; they're always coming up with fun things to do. Or if you just want to sit on the beach, chairs and umbrellas are provided (even books!) Something unique here are the beautiful gardens, wrought iron, patterned stone walks, painted floral murals that all together create the warmly personal ambiance that distinguishes abbey del Sol from any other place we've seen. It's like our home in Mexico!
