“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “One of the most beautiful places to visit” I found this gem of a getaway for a personal retreat and had an amazing stay. My first impression of the suite was how immaculately clean it was. The décor was modern and comfortable. The suite had all the amenities for cooking my own food, and even had laundry facilities in the suite, which came in quite handy when I spilled coffee all over myself! I stayed in the upper suite, and the view of the St Lawrence River, especially in the morning and early evening, on the deck was gorgeous. The owner lives next door and he is very friendly. When I first arrived he gave me a tour of my suite and offered suggestions for activities in the area. He was also very respectful of my privacy. A family of 4 occupied the lower suite during my stay and we took a short trip together to Gananoque, the nearest town, to visit the small shops and enjoy an exquisite dinner overlooking the water. The Thousand Island boat cruise was a highlight of my stay and I recommend it as a great way to take in the natural beauty of the area. I wanted a low key kind of holiday away from the stress of the big city and that is exactly what I got and more! July 2012
