Additional Location Information

Piedimonte Etneo, one of the most charming towns near Etna, is located on the north-east slope of the volcano. The villa is set in a enchanting area, taking part of the Etna Park, but it's also is 10 km's from the sea and from Taormina. Here you can enjoy fabulous views across the countryside to the coastline and Taormina. Set in immaculate gardens, it is a joy to wander the grounds and enjoy the wonderful pool and tennis court. The nearby village of Piedimonte can be reached by foot and has many grocery stores and pizzerias, reastaurants, banks, pharmacies, etc … (but many guests never get any further, the villa is a little corner of paradise). Compared with touristy Taormina and Giardini Naxos, the small villages of the slopes of Etna have a real feel of Sicily. If you do decide to venture out, there is plenty to see and do. Drive to the top of Mount Etna and explore this amazing volcano. Drop down to the coastline and have a day on the beach, nip into Taormina and marvel at the Greek amphitheatre. However we believe that our villa is so comfortable and the grounds so inviting that most of your time will be spent at 'home' with a good book and a bottle of wine.
