“Good choice and value” Kevin and Kelly couldn't have been more friendly and willing to help. We had no power for a while and lost internet and they were right on it. They were more than available to help with things to do and as hosts were top notch. The place is pretty basic and adequate. The mattresses could use to be replaced and the kitchen stuff is very basic but works. It's on a beautiful lake and it is quiet. There's a beautiful lawn area to sit, just lovely. And if you like loons, you'll hear them and see them frequently. A good choice and a good value.

“Comfortable stay with minor issues” The home was cozy and nice -- the large dining table and open layout were great. We did have two issues. One was with the hot water and water pressure. Management was quick to send some to address the problem but the water temperature of the upstairs bathroom was still variable afterwards. Also, information provided indicated that the long, steep driveway would be plowed but it was not. The number provided to contact the plowing service was incorrect and it took some effort to find the correct number. However, the driveway was cleared and well-sanded early the next morning before we needed to head out. In the future, I would appreciate that basics like water pressure and temperature be checked prior to us checking in. All in all, I would stay again.

“Great home away from home!” This was our family's first real vacation! We weren't sure what to expect as we've stayed in many hotels over the years for conferences we've attended. We really wanted a home instead of a hotel. We were so pleased with this property! We were able to have our dog which was a huge blessing for us. The location was perfect for us! It was remote, but still close to everything. We were wIthin 10-15 minutes from many different amenities. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch every morning and every evening! The view was beautiful too!

“great time, great hosts” We only stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful chalet for our ski trip with my 16 year old son and boyfriend. The cottage was in a great location, was very clean and cozy. We didn't see our hosts Mike and Mini, but through our conversations they were really very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the stay tremendously and will recommend to friends and hopefully will visit again in near future.

About Quebec

The lovely French-speaking province of Quebec is one of the most popular travel destinations in Canada. Located on the western edge of the country, Quebec is known for its marvelous natural scenery, as well as its charming European atmosphere. Travel here to ski or hike through gorgeous wilderness or enjoy an authentic croissant in a cute French-style bakery.

Quebec was originally a French colony and the influence is still visible in modern life. In many Quebec cities, the downtown district feels like a small town near Paris, with cobbled streets and Gothic architecture. Though English is widely spoken, French is the most popular language in Quebec. In addition, wonderful French-inspired cuisine can be found throughout the region.

If you are planning to visit Quebec's cultural sights, it is best to plan your visit during the summer months when the weather is warm and the days are long. For skiers and snowboarders, however, the snowy winters are perfectly suited to a family vacation or a romantic getaway.

Some of Quebec's highlights include:

  • Montreal: Old World architecture, French-inspired cafes, and a robust cultural scene have made Montreal one of the most European cities in the Americas.
  • Quebec City: Located beside the St. Lawrence River, the capital of Quebec is a lovely and interesting city with a cobbled downtown district and a growing arts scene.
  • Parc de la Gaspesie: Also known as the Gaspe Peninsula, this beautiful region extends into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence and is home to a spectacular mountain range.
  • Mont Tremblant: For skiing, sledding, and sleighing in a charming atmosphere reminiscent of the Swiss Alps, Mont Tremblant is a picture perfect winter destination.
  • Tadoussac: The icy shores near the town of Tadoussac are among the best whale watching destinations in North America.
  • Charlevoix: With pristine wilderness and charming small villages, this region is known for its natural beauty as well as its delicious local cuisine.

Consider a vacation rental for your next Quebec vacation. For skiers, a villa, chalet, or cabin in Saint Sauveur des Monts or Mont Tremblant will keep you warm, comfortable, and close to the slopes while those heading to Montreal or Quebec City will best enjoy their time by staying in a luxury condo or apartment rental in the city center, where sights and restaurants are all within walking distance.
