ABSOLUTELY THE BEST LOCATION IN ROCKPORT - RIGHT IN DOWNTOWN AND WITH THE ENTRANCE TO FRONT BEACH and Shalin Liu Performance center just across the street: you are in the middle of everything in our beautiful rental residence. Check the map. More quiet Back and Old Garden Beach are just five minutes away. This is the only rental residence right in downtown and right next to the entrance to beach year around. Our second rental is completely rented for another two years.

Our house, one of the oldest "father's" houses in downtown, is just next to the Toad Hall Bookstore, and all other galleries, shops, restaurants, and cafes in Cultural District Rockport around Motif Number 1 and Bearskin-neck.
Beautiful 1st floor large private apartment/studio: private bedroom/room with separate entrance, separate private bath with shower and bay window you can hear the ocean at night and large storage space. The residence is hard to determine, it is studio, but doesn't have kitchen, it is one bedroom/room apartment with separate entrance, but there is no living room and kitchen. Please make sure to see the images to avoid misunderstanding.
New queen size bed and mattress for 2 guests, futon, sofa, table, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hot pot, HD TV 40" with full cable package, wireless internet. Window air-conditioner, fan.
Original paintings on theme "Summer Rooms"as decoration. The bathroom is just newly repainted and floor have been just redone with natural stone tiles.
Please check the photos for accuracy and read the listing carefully to avoid misunderstandings and repeated communication. Our residence is listed as one bedroom, but it is atypical one bedroom as everything in New England, because it is one large room with separate bath, entrance, and storage. It is also not studio, because doesn't have separate kitchen.

On street parking, because we are right in the middle of downtown. There is free on street parking on Main, Jewett, Beach, and Broadway Street. There is also all day parking next to Peg Leg Motel for $10 per day, three minutes from the house.
After April 1st:
On street parking. There is on street and without meter on street parking available in downtown on Main Street or behind corner on Jewett Street. Please check the map. Also there is $10 per day parking lot above Front Beach. We are right in downtown, so as other houses, we don't have separate private parking.
House is in walking distance from train. You can explore other seacoast's towns Gloucester, Manchester by the Sea, Salem. Boston is just one hour and ten minutes by train away. There is also Lighthouse taxi for $9 between Rockport and Gloucester if you would like to visit Gloucester restaurants, bars and music pubs.
Double occupancy. Another person or two can sleep on futon. Additional person is $25 per night after 2 guests.
Rate for double occupancy is $125, on weekend $135. Minimum 3 nights.
In season rate is $175 per double occupancy, additional guest is $25 per night after 2guests, minimum 4 nights.
Security deposit $250.
House rules are posted in rental.
Open year around.
No smoking. No dogs.
In case a dog is allowed there are special rules and $50 per night fee.
This location is part of a Rockport artist's home and gallery. Private art lessons in the private art studio available: painting, drawing, illustration, watercolor.

Gloucester, the oldest seaport in United States (10 minutes by car or train): Whale Watching, Cape Ann Museum, Hammond Castle, Rocky Neck, the oldest art colony in United States, Eastern Point Lighthouse, Gloucester Maritime Center, Gloucester Stage Company, Sargent House Museum, and absolutely breathtaking beaches: Good Harbor Beach, Wingaersheek Beach.
Salem (25 minutes by car or by train) - famous Witch History Museum, Peabody Essex Museum with actual historic Chinese house as a part of contemporary design of museum. See photo.
Boston (hour by car, hour and fifteen minutes by train) - Aquarium, IMAX, Science Museum with Omni Theatre, Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Garden Museum, Children's Museum, Freedom Trail, TD Hall above North Train Station with concerts and sport events (Boston Bruins), China Town, Italian part of Boston, etc.
