Via Sistina is a prized location in the finest neighborhood in Rome. The street rises from the obelisk at the top of the Spanish Steps where you will also find the Hassler Hotel. The Hassler has been known as the best hotel in Rome for more than 60 years. On the same street are the Intercontinental and Hotel Sistina; also fine hotels so this is the level of quality in this special neighborhood. In additional to fine lodging, Via Sistina is famous for fashionable shops. There is traffic daytimes but that drops in the evening when the shops close.
The Sistina apartment is on the first floor European designation, second North American. While there is no elevator, it is a manageable 41 steps from the building entrance.A spacious entry has plenty of room for coats and packages. A drop-leaf antique table against one wall and a handsome antique armoire for storage on the other wall. There are poliished terrazzo floors throughout, cool in the summer and so easy to maintain. The living room is to the right, the twin bedroom is straight ahead and the master bedroom is next to the twin bedroom. The living room is in the center of the apartment, with the kitchen off it to one side and the large dressing room to the other side. Tasteful, modern artwork and a few 1960s modern pieces throughout the apartment give it a contemporary look with pleasantly contrasting touches of fine antiques. Its classic Roman, with a bit of retro chic, clean, comfortable and homey and in one of the best locations in town. The living room has a sofa, upholstered chair, a dining table, flat-screen TV.Off the living room is a dressing room that adjoins the master bedroom. The bedrooms both have large, street facing windows so they get plenty of light. Exterior shutters can be closed for late-sleepers. The twin bedroom has beds that can be prepared together or separately. There is a set of double doors between the master bedroom and the second bedroom. There are reading lights on either side of the beds. The bedrooms have air conditioning. Here too are touches of authentic modern retro chic, such as the chairs and the artwork. Sort of hip but in a restrained way.The pleasant, light kitchen is narrow but well equipped and fully furnished. The bathroom is off the entry foyer. It has a enclosed shower, a sink, toilet and bidet.TripAdvisor property ID 3838581...Read more

The Sistina apartment is in a fantastic location, very close to the Spanish Steps and extremely convenient for easy access on foot to all the main Rome sites. The apartment is well-equipped, clean, very comfortable and was perfect for my husband and I for our four nights in Rome. Our greeter Amalia was charming, extremely helpful and welcoming. We walked everywhere, and enjoyed exploring this amazing city with something to see and discover at every turn. A special highlight for us was the evening, small-group tour of the Colosseum - we were inside the Colosseum without the crowds, an almost private tour which was evocative and atmospheric. We also took a early morning, skip the lines tour, of the Vatican City, well worth it because even in mid-September, the lines of people waiting to enter were already extremely long. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends, and have already recommended Italy Perfect to several others. Thank you!
Thank you, we appreciate your nice feedback and are pleased you enjoyed the apartment and the fantastic location. The Italy Perfect Team

We stayed at the Via Sistina apartment and loved everything about it. We were a group of four women. The location is superb. We walked to all the neighborhoods and points of interest and found it easily accessible to everything. There are restaurants right outside the front door of the apartment and a grocery store a few blocks away. Our greeter, Marcela, was timely and very friendly, not to mention informative. We felt we could call her if we had questions or concerns (which we didn't as everything went well). The bedrooms are big and comfortable. The central dressing room/closet area is large and held all our luggage and clothing for a week's stay. The bathroom is a bit small, but was sufficient for us. I would rent this property again if returning to Rome.
We are happy you loved everything about it. Thank you so much for your nice comments. Lisa at Italy Perfect

I reserved the Sistina apartment for myself, my teenaged daughter and two of her friends. We arrived at the apartment and were met by a charming woman who was very helpful. The apartment itself was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Free internet was great. And the teenagers loved exploring the local supermarket and choosing foods for meals -- from Italian style cheerios to instant ice cream!
We appreciated the detailed guide that Italy Perfect prepared for us about the apartment, restaurants and general information on Rome.
The high point was the location -- it was was incredible! We stepped outside each morning, looked right and there was the top of the Spanish steps! We walked everywhere, enjoyed good meals, especially the Tavola Calda restaurant inside the Porta Pinciana of the Borghese Gardens. Found a delicious delicatessen where we bought fresh homemade pasta and cold meats, salads nearby. Daughter and friends loved the shopping all around us. They would walk to the steps after dinner, play cards, people-watch and meet other young people -- very safe too.
So pleased you loved the location, cleanliness and comfort! That Tavola Calda in the Borghese Gardens is one of our "secret" favorites too, the all-you-can-eat buffet is such a good quality, value and perfect for hungry teens. Regards, Lisa and Pat at Italy Perfect
