You'll be enchanted but this quaint location, one of Romes best-loved historic neighborhoods. Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona are very close by. Enjoy wonderful restaurants, historic sites at every turn, welcoming cafes, shopping and the best open-air produce market in Rome all within easy walking distance from the Dorato apartment.
The Danza apartment is on the top floor of a small apartment building from the 1500s. There are a few steps once inside in the building up to the elevator.
Danza is a spacious, comfortable light-filled apartment with some of the original features, such as the antique tile floors and beamed ceilings preserved. In addition to the rooftop terrace, we love the sweet "Juliet" balconies off the living and dining rooms. The apartment has an open entry foyer. The large living room is immediately to the left. French doors at the far end enhance the room. From the living room enjoy views of the side of the church and the ever-changing scene down below of this small, inviting street. The living room is casually furnished with a modern sofa bed, an armchair and a padded chairs, glass coffee table, flat screen TV. It is not fancy, just basic, serviceable furniture good for the vacation renter who wants a sunny, well laid-out, appealing terraced apartment a super-central location. To the right of the living room step into the full dining room, with its wonderful original checkerboard tiles. It's nice that they';ve been preserved as the add a special touch to the room. The dining table has seating for six..
Retrace your steps back through the living room to find the attractive kitchen off to the right of the foyer. Handsome honed marble counter tops and a farmhouse sink maintain the apartments authentic character. The kitchen has a small table with seating for two. A large window admits lots of light. There is a full refrigerator, freezer section, 4-burner gas stove, electric oven and dishwasher. Directly ahead off the foyer is the first bedroom with two twin beds. The bedrooms are towards the back of the apartment, a good feature in a thriving city like Rome where street noise from passerbys and motor scooters is a given. Ahead and to the right is the first bedroom with two twin beds and adjoining bathroom. Built-in closets and cupboards line one wall providing lots of storage for clothes, luggage. There is a small window above the bed. The en suite bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower with a shower curtain. The second bedroom has a double bed (56" wide), a large window overlooking the quiet back-building area and rooftops. There is an antique dresser and small closet. Just outside this bedroom is the second bathroom with a bathtub, sink, toilet. A tiny eyebrow window over the tub is a cute feature. If your interest in the Danza apartment isn't already piqued here comes the best part. The terrace! Straight ahead off the entry foyer is a small stairway leading up to a small open office area (who can work with views like these?) which leads out to the enchanting terrace. Imagine starting your day in Rome with a cup of espresso, the sound of seagulls flying overhead and views of Roman rooftops and church domes! There is a patio table with seating for four. The canvas awing provides shade. In the evening wander back upstairs for cocktail hour and enjoy the sounds of church bells tolling at sunset or watch waves of tiny swallows swooping and diving through the sky at twilight.TripAdvisor property ID 2384679...Read more

We set out for a month long stay at the Danza Apartment in Campo de Fiori with great anticipation and we were not disappointed. As promised, the decor was not fancy (perfectly shabby chic, if you ask me). It was roomy--a large living room with a separate dinning room. Small but perfectly adequate bedrooms and the bath and a half (which had plently of hot water) turned out to work just fine for us. The sweet, stylishly renovated kitchen had every necessary appliance including stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, toaster and American-style coffee maker And then there was the terrace. We spent many memorable hours on the roof, with our wine and cheese, overlooking our little part of Roma's incredible skyline.
Our transition was made seamless by our lovely greeter, Cecilia. She was warm and welcoming and lives upstairs so we always felt we had someone to go if we needed anything.
The apartment's big draw for us was its fab location. Walking distance to all Roma's popular neighborhoods and restaurants--Trastevere, Jewish Quarter, Piazza Navona, Parthenon, Piazza de Spana, Via Veneto--made navigating the city on foot a cinch.
We did not want to leave and we most certainly will be back.
How nice to enjoy the Danza apartment through your experience. You appreciated the glorious terrace and even managed to use the typical Italian shower in the small bathroom. We look forward to your return.

“Danza-a perfectly located apartment”
Left on 10/16/2012 for a stay in September 2012 | A FlipKey verified reviewerReviewed Oct 16, 2012Stayed Sep 2012
We frequently travel to Rome and prefer the Campo di Fiori area. Danza was probably the best accomodation we have ever had in that area. It's location was perfect and gave us access to our many favorite sites and restaurants.
The apartment was comfortable and adequately furnished. Pretty much about what we expected.
Our greeter was there to "greet and explain" and allowed us immediate access to the apartment. Leaving was just as simple.
When next we return to Rome (the sooner, the better) we'll certainly check in with Italy Perfect again and will recommend you to others.
As a tip for future travelers, we found the few very close restaurants ("Regola" being one of them) excellent dinner choices. The shopping along via Giubonari has certainly improved over the years, and the shopping along via Coronari (a short walk) is always worthwhile.
Among this trip's new attractions was Cinecitta, now open to the public, and the hypogeum of the Colisseum, which is well worth the bother of getting reservations.
We so appreciate your nice feedback. Thank you from the Italy Perfect Team.
“Great apartment in Fantastic Location”

We were to pleased to have found this great apartment. Italy Perfect was recommended by a friend and when we went on the site, we found the Danza apartment and immediately booked it for our family.
It was centrally located near Campo de' Fiori, where we had dinner several times. There is a market near by and the trolley runs close by, too. We were able to walk everywhere we went except to the train station (we caught taxis right outside).
It was very hot when we were there, so we really appreciated the cool tile floors and the air conditioning! We did not cook, but kept things in the refrigerator for quick snacks. We were pleased to have a washer in the unit and an upper level terrace that provided both a great place to sit and a place to discretely dry our clothes.
With 5 people, the 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and pullout couch were perfect. The 'lift' was so helpful getting our bags up, but after that we used the stairs to climb to the apartment.
I would highly recommend Danza if you are traveling to Rome!
