The area is one of the most beautiful and historically important of Rome. It is near public transportation (buses and subway) and there is a taxi station in the square above the apartment. There are a lot of ruins, museums and archeological sites to see in the neighborhood, and Prati is also a shopping area. The Vatican Museums or San Peter's Basilica, are only few of the amazements you can see here; you can also go to shop in Via Cola di Rienzo and Via Ottaviano, or walking straight to Via del Corso and Piazza del Popolo to visit the twin Churches with the painting of Caravaggio or taking a walk at the Zoo and Villa Borghese, look at the panorama of Rome and come down through the Spanish steps to stroll on Via dei Condotti.
Città del Vaticano, Vatican City, is the smallest Country in the world as it's Basilica, San Pietro, is the biggest and towering. They are pratically across the street and so the Vatican Museums with Michelangelo masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel. From San Pietro, walking through Via della Conciliazione, few hundred meters, there is Castel Sant'Angelo.
