A delightful private two level apartment, with typical wooden beamed ceilings, parquet flooring and fully furnished with antiques.
An original stone staircase takes you up to the interior of this cozy apartment. A hideaway for those seeking a special experience in Rome.
A spacious living room with a gas fireplace, a comfortable seating and dining area introduce you to this picturesque apartment.
The double sofabed in front of the fireplace makes the accommodation suitable for four people though we suggest they should be close friends or family, as the main bedroom in the loft overlooks the living room.
A wooden staircase leads to the loft where you will find a comfortable double bed, wardrobe and a bathroom with shower.
The access of the second bathroom with tub is from the dining area on the main floor.
A modern and well equipped small kitchen with dish washer, electric oven, refrigerator and gas stove overlooks the dining room.
The family area in the living room opens onto a charming private little balcony, overlooking a quiet and green internal courtyard. A small gem in this area of Rome.
The centralized location of the appartment makes it a perfect base for strolling out to explore all parts of Rome's city center. The Trastevere area is a maze of small streets and pretty allies where you can find cafes, open markets, restaurants and boutiques. Notwithstanding, Via della Gensola is a very quite street where you can sleep soundly.

“Amazing loft”
The loft is cozy, clean and in a perfect location. Great place to stay in Rome. Check-in and check-out very simple. The owners helpful and caring. Hope to go back again. In the future!

“Superb, authentic apartment in a wonderful area”
We had a fantastic 5 night stay in this apartment. The location is great – 15 mins walk to the Colesseum, 30 mins to the Vatican, with great bus/tram links if you prefer to use public transport. Beautiful, rustic, charming cobbled streets surround the apartment with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. However the street is very peaceful, particularly at night. Just a 5 minute walk to the Piazza di Santa Maria which has dozens of little restaurants and bars (and gelaterias!) surrounding it. We felt 100% safe staying in this area with our kids. We found the apartment charming, quirky and very comfortable. Yes it is a little bit dark, yes it is a little bit overlooked but this is authentic Rome living!! It didn't bother us in the slightest. We had a very warm welcome at the apartment and received lots of good information and recommendations. Wish we could've stayed longer!

Response from the owner Actually it is not easy to comment this review, because It seems not to understand Italian way of life of these old neighborhoods. Narrow alleys and several humanity. Many guests - thankfully - think that having a small well-kept green space in the back of the house is an absolute privilege. If you comment on the lack of pravicy then it is better not to come to Rome in these neighborhoods. This is their lifeblood, their authentic feature and we want to preserve it. Perhaps a hotel in another area of the city is most recommended. However, the comment is extremely subjective, but, thinking that such a typical and well-kept apartment is only useful as "a base to put your head down" ... perhaps it is excessive Thank you Olivia
