Additional Location Information

The apartment is located in the San Giovanni neighbourhood, a few minutes away from the San Giovanni Basilica, near the Re di Roma Subway stop, and very near to the Tuscolana Station.

In a few minutes' walk, you can reach the Scala Santa, one of Christianity's most important relics, near the Basilica, and the Santa Croce in Gerusalemme Cloister. Just a bit farther, the time for a short and pleasant walk, you will find the more important monuments of Ancient Rome, the Caracalla Thermae (the baths of the Emperor Caracalla), the Circo Massimo, the Coliseum.

Also near the via Appia Nuova is the Parco della Caffarella, which goes up to the via Appia Antica, one of the oldest and most famous Roman roads which still today hosts ancient historical relics. Further down, you might want to visit the remains of the Villa dei Quintili, one of the most visited archeological sites in Italy, along with the Caracalla Thermare.

The via Appia Nuova is known for its shopping stores, a lot of them at a good budget and, near the Porta San Giovanni, the via Sannio flea market, a pleasant place where you can strike excellent deals.

In a few minutes you can also reach the areas of San Lorenzo and Pigneto, historical Roman neighbourhoods where today you will find bars restaurants and nightclubs with great music!
San Giovanni, the neighbourhood in which you will stay, is a historic Roman neighbourhood, in the midtown part of Rome, easily accessible from the airports and from the train/subway stations. The train form the Fiumicino airport will bring you directly to the Tuscolana Station, from which the apartment is 5 minutes' walking distance.

In alternative, and from any other destination, the Termini Rail Station is connected, through the A Subway line, in only 4 stops, to Re di Roma.

From ther, you can easily move around, and in a few minutes walking (or with the subway) reach the major interest points of the town.
