After having been the residence of famous cardinals and bishops for many years, this Hotel has been thoroughly restored to resemble its past appearence. It offers its clients all modern services and comforts. The front desk is very helpful and provides clients with any kind of information and reservations for restaurants, museum, expositions, tours and personal tour guides. The Hotel Due Torri has 26 rooms,7 Singles, 15 Doubles and 4 family rooms - these consist of one main room and a single room , separated by the bathroom; designed with refined and plain style, in harmony with the Renaissance elegance of the palace, cosy accommodations covered with Italian cloths in warm and restful colors. The guests can choose among single rooms, double rooms and 4 little apartments. Each room is well equipped of the essential services for a real relaxing staying: mini-bar, flat screen satellite tv, pay-per-view, internet access, air conditioning, hair-dryer and safe deposit box. The apartments ( family rooms) consist of a double room and a smaller room, ideal for three adults or a family with children, and a bathroom with shower between the two rooms. Hotel Due Torri offers its clients all modern services and comforts: air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, phone, hair-dryer and radio while at the same time maintaining its traditional Romanesque style. Breakfast is included in the price The key to this hotel is the location - everything is within a short, convenient walk; Piazza Navona is 5 minutes, Spanish Steps is 10 minutes; even the Vatican can be walked to within 15 to 20 minutes; Well known Karen Brown Books state: Due Torri, a small and charming city hotel, dates to the early 1800s and is tucked away on a tiny, narrow cobblestone street in the historical heart of Rome very near the Navona Square with its Bernini fountains. The 26 rather petite bedrooms, decorated with period antiques and matching burgundy drapes and bedspreads, are accompanied by newly tiled bathrooms. Amenities include an elevator and air conditioning, which provides welcome relief on hot Roman summer days. The contained reception and sitting area have Oriental carpets, pieced marble floors, brocaded draperies, gilt-framed mirrors and paintings, and red-velvet chairs accenting the cream-colored walls. The fifth-floor mansard rooms (even smaller size) have small terraces and fourth-floor rooms have balconies with enchanting views over typical tiled rooftops and terraces. A buffet breakfast is served in a windowless room made cheery with painted borders and paintings. Super hostess Cinzia (owner as well of the newer Fontanella Borghese, ask us about this hotel too) and her courteous staff are very helpful at arranging everything from advance ticketing for museums to transfers and restaurant and itinerary suggestions.
