Elegant and spacious home in an area in the center of Rome known for fine, eclectic architecture featuring many palazzi of the Art Nouveau style.
This special neighborhood has many attractions. A five minute walk from the monumental Piazza del Popolo, this street is one block from one of the best shopping streets in Rome, Via Cola di Rienzo that also has cafes and restaurants along its length. The neighborhood was developed in the late 1800s and early 1900s with wide, tree-lined streets reminiscent of the boulevards of Paris. Romans and visitors appreciate the proximity to the popular historical center while being able to escape the crowds in the narrow streets. It is five minute walk to the Lepanto subway station.
Set back from the street and screened by a large tree, the building has three apartments. Across the street is a hotel, a handy place to pick up tours and taxis, even breakfast in the hotel cafe that has a nice sidewalk presence in warm weather.
The building of the Elegante apartment was annexed to one of the prettiest Art Nouveau buildings 100 years ago, so from the living room and dining room you can see some nice architectural elements of that, original building.
The apartment is on the 3rd Floor North American designation, 2nd Floor European designation; the elevator starts one floor up, approximately 20 steps up from the entry level.
The grand entrance shows many of the fine elements found throughout the apartment, beautiful floors, large windows, good light, fine art, elegant furniture and space.
To the right of the entrance are the public rooms, the large living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room has two areas, a parlor-like entry with chairs, table and tall bureau with a hidden television and the second area has facing sofas and antique side-pieces. Two large windows overlook the neighboring garden. Looking up at the high ceilings, you find artistic plasterwork with many pretty discoveries.
The dining room, also bright from a large window, also has a beautiful, hand-blown Murano glass chandelier and lovely golden Chinese panel. The table seats eight. The apartment is furnished with china of a quality for entertaining.
Across from the dining room is a large, brand new, high quality kitchen. It has a complete set of appliances and cooking equipment. It also contains a washer and a dryer.
On the other side of the entrance is an L-shaped hallway that passes the study on the right, then also on the right a small hallway that leads to a single bedroom and bath. The next room on the main hallway is the largest bathroom. Turn right in front of the master bedroom door, the floor turns to warm wood and passes three bedrooms on the left and the third bathroom on the right.
The study has a desk and entertainment center.
The master bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the street, screened by a large tree, so you can't really see the hotel across the street. But to the right you can see some fine Art Nouveau homes. The king sized bed is a rarity in Italy. In the two additional bedrooms the two single beds can be combined to form a large bed that is larger than a queen.
The largest bathroom is across the hall from the master bedroom, it has modern fixtures and a shower over tub. The second bathroom is across the hall from the second and third bedrooms. It has a large step-in shower. Heated towel racks and hairdryers in all bathrooms.
The fourth bedroom is at the end of a small hallway with a bathroom with shower at the end. It has a single bed and armoire. Pleasant view from the window.
Special attention has been paid to beds that have hypoallergenic mattresses and bedding. Quality linens. Blackout curtains allow you to manage jet lag. Paint is organic.
Air conditioning in living room, dining room, 3 larger bedrooms. No air conditioning in study and small bedroom.TripAdvisor property ID 2427354...Read more

Stayed for a week with my extended family a total of 7 pers. (no children) we all where very comfortable in this superior well kept spacious apartment, a good location also adds to it's enjoyment.
At walking distance we found plenty of restaurants of all types and price range as well as a couple of markets and across the street a nice hotel (great to get taxi at anytime), Happy to recomend.---

Our extended family of 8 found the apartment to be the perfect size. The property was exactly as described in the site. Pat was extremely helpful and accommodating, insuring we had extra keys, and even having the housekeeper do some shopping for us the day before we arrived because we were arriving on a holiday when many of the stores would be closed. The apartment was well supplied with linens, kitchen ware, appliances, WiFi. It really felt like we were living in Rome rather than just being tourists.
Thank you very much for your kind review! So glad you enjoyed your stay. Please visit us again! Italy Perfect

Our group of eight stayed very very comfortably in the Elegante apartment. The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept well. The apartment was very clean, well maintained and quiet. The kitchen was perfect for us to prepare our breakfasts and a couple of evening meals. There was also a small washer and dryer in the kitchen. We would definitely stay there again.
Thank you Jenny! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. The Italy Perfect Team.

Wow! What a great place and one of our highlights of our time in rome! first, you can understand three female friends together for almost 5 weeks! our time in rome was successful because of this place1 it was spacious, beautiful, large rooms, comfortable beds, the best linens, and we could acutally get away from each other without being rude! The apartment was so accomodating if you desire space and comfort! the kitchen was wonderful and cooked in often after lovely days of sightseeing. the living room was the home often for movies and just general chitchat and yet the study was perfect to get away and check email, journal, etc... and the bedrooms were complete refuges of tranquility. we loved the location! a true neighborhood feel with great restaurants (we fell in love with a panini eatery (and cute pannini man and staff!), the gelato at near midnight at night, and the restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel across the street was a big plus in that we had our place yet could get a taxi or help anytime of the day or night. As 3 women, we felt very, very, very safe here and loved the neighborhood feel, yet only a minutes walk over a bridge to the Piazza Popolo! Loved not being in the tourist district and yet everything so convenient! As we researched places to stay, this was the tops but it seemed to also speak to who we are. Often reviews don;t indicate who the client is - we were 3 women in late 50,s (celebrating one 60tth birthday!), Junior Leaguers, philanthopists, community movers and shakers in our home town - we say this only to give you an idea of if you want and desire what you are used to , this is the place! It hit all the right notes! and italy perfect was the most fantasttic tto work with!
