May Half Term 23rd May available from Saturday to Saturday.Nant y Ddwylan is a wonderful imposing house dating back to the 17th century and was once a Coaching Inn with a colourful history, it is just perfect for family or friends to gather. In the main house, the rooms are well-proportioned with high ceilings, slate floors and large sash windows, while the attached cottage converted from the original outbuildings is cosier with smaller rooms, white-washed stonewalls and beamed ceilings. In the heart of the house the original bar has been retained, so enjoy evenings acting as bar man while you gather round the large Inglenook and wood burning stove. Comfortably furnished in a stylish mix of contemporary and antique pieces, there are several spacious reception rooms giving plenty of space for everyone to relax and the large bedrooms above make welcome retreats, while the cottage has 2 pretty bedrooms on the ground floor providing one-level accommodation. The formal dining room is perfect to enjoy long, leisurely meals prepared in the fitted kitchen, French doors open to a large, enclosed lawned garden with a paved terrace, where you can enjoy eating alfresco and the children will love playing in the raised sandpit.The cottage gives additional facilities and a degree of privacy within family gatherings with another fitted kitchen in the open plan living space and a stable door opening to the garden.Magnificently converted, this house is situated on the junction of two B-roads in the heart of northern Pembrokeshire on the edge of the Preseli Hills and the National Coastal Park; it is perfectly positioned to explore this wonderful area criss-crossed by a maze of footpaths, it is ideal for keen walkers and cyclists, the views from the Preselis are stunning across its rugged landscape and out to sea. The historic village of Rosebush gives access to the highest viewing point in Pembrokeshire, the panoramic view encompasses as far as the Gower on a fine day. There is also a popular Inn, Tafarn Sinc, where you can enjoy a traditional home cooked meal less than a 5-minute drive away. Perfect for exploring the whole of the County and the coastal town of Newport with its beautiful sandy beach and picturesque estuary teaming in bird and wildlife is only 20 minutes away, enjoy exploring its bustling facilities. Alternatively the harbour town of Fishguard is well worth a visit or to the north west lies the market town of Cardigan overlooking Cardigan Bay which is an important area for marine wildlife and is designated a Heritage Coast; a boat trip round the bay is a must to see the resident bottlenose dolphins, porpoise and grey seals.
