Additional Location Information

Villa Verdi is located 5 minutes from St. Andrews on a private 2.5 acre estate overlooking the Passamaquoddy Bay. There are beautiful gardens and oudoor dining areas and a covered gazebo, a pond with waterfall, bocce court, deck by the water and stairs to the private shoreline. St. Andrews by the Sea is one of the prettiest and most interesting towns in all of the Canadian Maritimes. Famous as a year-round resort where the rich and privileged came to escape allergies and the heat of the summer, you can also enjoy a adventuresome lifestyle of seaside picnics, museums, concerts, whale watching, nature adventures and digging into a fascinating history. The town is still a vibrant centre of the arts and culture with entertainment and activities for all ages and interests. You can play the Algonquin Champion Golf Course with its magnificant seascapes, enjoy pampering spa treatments at a number of local facilities, enjoy nightly music and individual campfires under the stars at the just re-opened $13-million renovated Algonquin Resort (now owned by Marriott) and learn about a fascinating marine habitat and amazing wildlife here in the Fundy Bay where the tides are the highest in the world. Visit nearby Grand Manaan or Deer Island by Ferry and see our large variety of whales and other sealife and experience sea life up-close at the new Huntman Marine Science Centre's Fundy Discovery Aquarium. Fly fish for lake trout on Chamcook Lake (2 minutes away) or take leisurely walks on nature trails or around town...the houses and gardens are a visual treat. Be sure to eat lots of local lobster, scallops, PEI mussels and clams. Enjoy wild blueberries and dulce, a seaweed snack. Or just sit still and smell the roses, work on your tan, read a book, paint a painting or write a poem. The loons will lull you to sleep at night and the stars will never be brighter. Visit the Chocolate Museum in St. Stephen and enjoy all the samples you can eat. Witness the changing of the guard in our provincial capital of Fredericton, or stop by St. John to shop at the marketplace or talk a wild ride on Reversing Falls. Check out St. Andrew's website ((website: hidden)) for more information. Art classes can be taken at Sunbury Shores Art and Nature Centre ((website: hidden)), there is championship golf, kayaking, and tennis in town.
The charming cities of St. John and Fredericton are close. We're just 25 minutes from the U.S. border town of Calais. St. Stephen and St. George are just 20 minutes away. More information on how we landed here and the area can be found at (website: hidden), our subdivision site.
