Description from owner

Description

The Barn is an exceptionally comfortable, detached 3-bedroom single-storey holiday home. We believe it was built around 1871 and converted from the farm-milking parlour in 1982. This now offers an exceptionally comfortable and character full accommodation with the lounge having a vaulted ceiling and curved wall, with exposed roof timbers and beams. There is a log-burning stove on a slate hearth, all of which should be seen to be appreciated.

The Barn forms one side of an attractive courtyard of barn conversions; set back from a small road through the hamlet over the village green.

The Barn has its own seating area, great for alfresco dining, BBQs or just to bask in the fresh air.

Unlike many other holiday homes The Barn offers an adjoining good-sized garage - with dart board, washing machine/dryer with an additional allocated parking space just outside the courtyard. Ample space for the children and dogs to play out.

The Barn is an exceptionally comfortable, detached stone-built single-storey holiday home.

The Barn is situated in the rural hamlet of Rosecare that offers a peaceful haven. The Barn offers 3 Bedrooms, Garage with Washing machine, Dryer and Freezer + extras, it also allows for parking - however there is an additional space outside the courtyard. There's a log-burning stove on a slate hearth, outdoor seating for alfresco dining, level access and all the necessary equipment you may require for your getaway.

The Barn can sleep up to five people with it's Double Room, Twin Room and Single Room, offering ample space in an exceptionally comfortable and character full accommodation. The lounge has a vaulted ceiling and curved wall, with exposed roof timbers and beams, along with a log-burning stove on a slate hearth, all of which should be seen to be appreciated.

This is a self-catering holiday cottage and the the Rental Fee is all-inclusive of Gas, Electricity, Linen and Towels.

We allow dogs upon prior agreement - dog bed available

We can even offer a cot/mattress and highchair should you require it.

The living room has comfortable furnishings - large curved sofa with reclining option, electric reclining chair, colour television, video and radio. There's also a few books and board games (for those rainy days).

The kitchen has a full-size electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, 4-slice toaster and all the utensils and crockery you are likely to need during your stay.

The accommodation offers an attractive, tiled bathroom with power shower and bath.

Barn Cottage has level access, allowing entry for pushchairs and standard wheelchairs.

“OK for the money”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2021

We didn’t expect much for a week in Cornwall for under £500 in the summer holidays. The cottage has a lot of potential- it’s a lovely size and the beds are comfy. It had a good selection of utensils (all very clean) and also buckets, spades, body boards and wetsuits in the garage to borrow. There are some lovely walks around. However, it does have a damp problem as mentioned in other reviews. The smell is quite fusty throughout the cottage and both my children got cold symptoms after staying there for the first night- whether it was a cold or due to the black mould I’m not sure. For that reason I wouldn’t stay again but also, for what we paid, it was a bargain during peak season and we got what we paid for.

Response from the owner Many thanks for your review In our notes that we send out we do have a company that does the cleaning o which you may contact info so that any problems can be sorted from day one My phone number is also available I glad we offer a good price and not one of a number of hotels and cottages that put up prices to Cashin The Barn is our family cottage so we want to share with people you could have just picked up the phone or emailed us or our cleaners we want all our guests to enjoy, but if we are not informed we cannot react in a timely manner.. We do offer good customer service but we do need to know
