Additional Location Information

Saint Gervais Mont Blanc, is trully magnificent whatever time of year you visit, thanks to the amazing views over Mont Blanc. It is a real picture-postcard setting with mile upon mile of pistes for skiers of all standards and styles, authentic alpine chalets and magnificent pine forests.

The Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc ski area has 235Kms of pistes. If the fancy takes you you can try out your boarding skills at the Mont-Joux snowpark, in one of the most beautiful spots of the region. Or imagine you are a trapper from the far north as you explore one of the many snow-shoe tracks. Or dare to try telemark skiing paragliding. From the valley at 580m to the top of Mont Blanc at 4807m, everything is possible.

Saint Gervais's attractions are many:

A real little town with some very good places to eat, natural, thermal waters, easy access to the ski area by the Bettex cable car, easy access from the motorway and from the Le Fayet TGV station. The typical Savoyard village of Saint Nicolas de Véroce and Contamines Mont Joie, which is a little further away, are worth a visit.
You can take the Mont Blanc Tramway, a veritable jewel of a railway which carries skiers and pedestrians on a fantastic journey up to the Bellevue plateau at 1800m or to the Prarion-Les Houches ski area.

St Gervais is made up of 4 villages

Le Fayet at 580m
At the gateway to St Gervais, Le Fayet is in a privileged position at the cross-roads of all the ski resorts in the Mont Blanc range. Here you will find the lovely, green, Thermal park, with its Thermal spas dating back to 1806.

Saint-Gervais at 850m
Saint-Gervais offers all the beauty of a small Savoyard market town - its traditional buildings, its rich heritage, its baroque church and pedestrian areas make a charming setting for a gentle stroll after a day on the mountain.

Saint-Nicolas de Véroce at 1150m
St Nicolas de Véroce, a village that locals have built around their church, a jewel of baroque art, which since 2004 has been the subject of an extensive restoration both inside and out. The village of Saint-Nicolas de Véroce has been linked with St Gervais since 1974 with a ski bus connection or direct access to the Evasion ski area by chair lift from the heart of the village.

Le Bettex at 1400m
Overlooking the majestic panorama of the Mont Blanc range, Le Bettex village, which is often bathed in sunshine, is the departure point for the vast ski area in winter and for numerous walking routes in summer.
