“A truly special place” We were lucky enough to get married in Bequia 10 years ago and this was our 3rd return trip staying at Lime House on all occasions. We have had the privelage to stay in both the Cottage and the Studio and have never been disappointed. Both properties are well presented, with the Studio being more secluded and having amazing sea views - if you are lucky you will see some amazing sunrises. There are some great places to eat on Bequia - favourites of ours being Macs Pizzeria and Nando's for his spicy wings. We always come back truly relaxed from our holiday in Bequia and look forward to when we will be able to return - hopefully soon.

“Can't wait to go back!” We had an amazing time on our girls getaway to beautiful Bequia. My friends and I wanted to go on one last trip before one of us got married. We needed to stay somewhere special, spacious and relaxing, and didn't want to be jammed into a hotel room. It was 8 of us so space was essential. Sadewa Villa was the perfect place. It had all the space we needed and the house was modern and truly lovely. Even better, it seemed like we were on our own private island because there was nobody around even though were were only a few minutes from the beach and town. We all loved it and want to make this trip every other year. Cindy

About St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Comprised of St. Vincent and a chain of islands named the Grenadines, this Caribbean vacation hotspot is filled with tropical beauty, pristine beaches and thriving island culture. Most visitors to the archipelago will touch down in the city of Kingstown on St. Vincent where the city's cobblestone streets and funky Caribbean feel make it a perfect place to get acquainted with the island. You can visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines anytime of the year, as its climate shows very little variation throughout the year.

The country's top sights, attractions and activities include:

  • Canouan Island: This island is universally celebrated for its mystic beauty and tropical splendor. A honeymooner's paradise, Canouan, Grenadines' hilly, tree-lined landscapes slope down to kiss the sands of some of the Caribbean's clearest waters.
  • Dark View Falls: Located on the island of St. Vincent, Dark View Falls is actually a pair of waterfalls which will make for some of the best photographs you've ever taken. Popular with locals and visitors alike, a visit to Dark View Falls is a must for any first-time visitor.
  • Kingstown: Filled with colonial architecture, some of which dates back centuries, Kingstown's old town and botanical gardens are wonderful places to explore when you've had your fill of the beach. The city's restaurants and entertainment hotspots offer a true taste of island life.
  • Beaches: The beaches of Bequia, Palm Island, Mustique, and Young Island are the ideal place to kick back and relax. You can also go surfing or enjoy some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the world at these beaches.
  • Tobago Cays: Home to the Tobago Cays Marine Park, these uninhabited islands are filled with rare wildlife and colorful plants. Visitors can take arranged tours, which prevent people from interfering with the cays' delicate ecosystem.

The Maroon festival, held each year in May, is a wonderful time to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This traditional celebration is a type of rain dance, in which islanders drum, dance and drink in an effort to coax the gods into being generous with rainfall. While accommodations are plentiful throughout the year in the country's inhabited islands, condo and villa rentals are ideal for groups, couples and families. Vacation rentals put you in close proximity to the beach while offering privacy, convenience and luxury. Luckily, St. Lucia, Barbados, Granada, and Trinidad and Tobago are all very close to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It is easy and inexpensive to travel to these neighboring countries from Kingstown if you choose to continue your Caribbean adventure.

Gardenia Suites (LL)
Best short stay ever!

We're are pleased with our stay at the Gardenia suites. It was our best short stay ever. The apartment was very nice, clean & homely. Great location. Security is 100%. The place actually looks better when you see it than the pictures on the website. Recardo is very professional . We will stay there again in the near future. Really love the place.see more
Bellevue Terrasse (entire residence)
Lovely villa with stunning views over Spring Bay

We were able to select this villa by viewing several good villas when we were on Bequia the year before - and this was definitely the best. We liked its fresh decor - white walls and dark wood - and the outside space is attractive with plenty of room for sunbeds and different eating and barbeque areas. The dipping pool is great, the garden is very pretty and when we were there in February we were able to pick fresh papayas every day - a real treat! It's a fairly new villa, and that's one thing that's worth checking on Bequia because we discovered that quite a lot of the accommodation which looks great in the pictures is decidedly faded and shabby. The beds at Bellevue Terrasse are very comfortable and it was nice that they were all kingsize rather than doubles. They all come with mosquito nets, which we used, although there are very few mozzies up in the hills of Spring. When we arrived we were welcomed by Sabine, who looks after the house, and she proved to be an excellent housekeeper and fount of local knowledge. She was always quick to sort out any queries or minor problems and we thought she was a real asset to the house. The only slight drawback about the house that's worth pointing out is that the quid-pro-quo for being in such a high location with wonderful views is that there is quite a hairy drive to get to the house. It takes about 12 minutes to drive to or from Port Elizabeth. You can rely on the fantastic taxi system on the island and let someone else negotiate the hairpin bends, but if you choose to hire a car you need to take this into account. It's not for faint-hearted drivers. Overall we thought this was an excellent place to stay in a gorgeous location and very good value.see more
BEQUIA REEF HOUSE: Rent 1 master BR; or 2 - 5 BR. Price based on # of BR needed
Amazing Rental Home!

My husband & I just returned from a 3 week trip to Bequia. The Reef House was even better than the pictures. It is very well maintained, clean and equipped with everything you need. The view was just incredible! We never got tired of watching the boats sail by or the kite surfers down below in the bay. Princess Margaret Beach and Lower Bay have great snorkeling as well as good places to eat. There is plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables in town. Delene, the housekeeper, is a wonderful cook. We really enjoyed our welcome dinner on the day of arrival. Reef House was a truly relaxing retreat. Hope we have the opportunity to return one day.see more
Sadewa Villa
Tropic Perfection, Oh My!!! (sorry for the LONG review!)

While searching online for a villa suitable for 2 couples for a return trip to Bequia (for one of the couples) I had several requests: a pool, at least two full bathrooms, in Lower Bay and lots of space. Well, believe me when I say 3 out of for ain't bad, in fact, it is FANTASTIC! Upon finding Sadewa Villa we all thought it was amazing and almost unbelievable. So much so, that I contacted our taxi driver from the previous winter to see if he knew it. He didn't but graciously went and had a look. When he called back his first question was how MANY of us were coming! Then his comments were, " It is HUGE and MAGNIFICENT!!" So to Sadewa Villa... It is a stunning 2-wing villa (we took one wing, they took the other) with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms in each wing. There are two more bedroom suites on the lower floor which are the largest but we didn't need them and they were further from the living areas. A fully equipped kitchen and I love to cook, and it was loaded! Huge fridge, gas/propane stove, coffee maker (a must!), blender (also a must), etc., etc. The owners VERY graciously offered to fill a grocery list for us. There are more items available on Saint Vincent but you do NOT want to make a trip over and lose a day on Bequia! Food, in general, is expensive on the island whether you buy it or eat out, so realize how lucky you are to be there enjoying all the other glories but will (eventually!) go home to where food is less expensive, while the locals will continue to pay the price. The living room is equipped with a large projection screen and a great sound system. The REAL beauty of it is I was able to use Chromecast to beam Netflix and movies to it at night, but also stream music all day long while we sat by the pool. We sat outside ALL the time and there are at least three great areas to do so, by the pool (sunny), just above it (shady) and between the kitchen & living room where there was a wonderful breeze at dinnertime. The villa is in Spring which is a good distance from the main town, stores restaurants, etc. and on a mountain! I know, you may think how far can it be, the whole island is only 7 square miles?! Yes, but almost NONE of those miles is FLAT! Last year my son (24) walked back & forth to a different 'hilly house', but he said it was a workout and always fell into the pool when he got back. I, would not do it! From Sadewa Villa our two ladies would walk DOWN to go to the beach at Sugar Reef almost daily (they say it was the beach, but the guys suspect it might have been the rum punches!) and it was about a 20-minute walk for them, but they always came back by taxi. So, your options are to call a taxi or check with the owners who will rent you an SUV! The daily price for the cars was very reasonable and the cars were some of the newest on the island. We chose to use a taxi due to the right-hand drive (yes, Bequia drives like England!), narrow & winding roads. If you don't know Bequia (pronounced Beck-Way), you are missing THE diamond in the rough of the Caribbean, it is changing though as more find it, don't wait too long to discover it's unique beauty! Back to the villa... This place is perfection, but also in the tropics. You see it in places in the weathering of the woodwork etc. but unless you are some sort of prig, it is completely inconsequential! The housekeeper Pam was wonderful and visited twice during the week as well as being there for arrival and departure and the pool was kept very clean. The views, the breeze, the sunrises, the night skies, the feel, you won't want to leave, or you'll want to come back... We are, we've already booked it for next January!see more
Lime House Cottage
Peace and seclusion in an amazing setting overlooking the atlant

We've been coming to Bequia every year for the past 12 years and stay at the studio which is at the end of a path along from the cottage. We've rented other places on the Island but this is ideal for the 2 of us. We come in January for 6 weeks and love this side of the island because of the breeze. As I write this, the trade winds are blowing & I'm looking down at a single para boarder meeting the waves as they break over the reef at Industry Bay. The studio sits on the side of a hill overlooking the ocean. It's open plan, lovely and bright with windows all around and you're guaranteed uninterrupted views. Where else in the world can you sit up in your bed and watch the sun rise? Bequia is a friendly, unsophisticated island - there's plenty to keep you occupied if you wish - diving, snorkelling, sailing etc., we like walking and there's certainly plenty hills! Port Elizabeth, the capital is about a 30 minute walk, Dawn's Creole restaurant/bar is nearby at Industry Bay. Jo and allan, our hosts look after the properties and us. In fact, it wouldn't be the same without them.see more
Moondance Hideaway ....Where Angels come to play!
it grabs you right away... the connection to carefree.

You just know you are in the right place when you get here. A safe haven on a hill, fresh salty sea breezes waft up to this home away from home, with attention to detail, for comfort and ease... all to yourself. Everything is within reach, nothing is too far away on this idyllic, healing, tiny, island. Tranquility, activity, you choose, then, you silently wish, you could live here forever.see more
