Additional Location Information

These converted stables are situated just outside the small village of Montagrier with access by a lane used only by the inhabitants of this Hamlet and, therefore, gives a very safe and secure environment for children. Montagrier is situated on the River Dronne where you can fish, or just laze the time away on the river. There are canoes and kayaks for hire in several locations close by. If you are a cycling enthusiast there is a vibrant cross-country cycling centre in Montagrier where you can get détails of the many trails to discover and, equally, you can hire bikes to go it alone or with a guide. There are also river beaches where children can enjoy playing. There is a market close by once a week and a visit to Périgueux is a must just half an hour away by car and is the capital of the Périgord. Again, within half an hours drive is Brantome, known as the Venice of the Périgord, a wonderful place to see the old, now uninhabited caves, or just enjoy a drink or meal alongside the river.
