This well-maintained cabin situated on a beautiful lake with georgeous views is a perfect get-away spot for those who wish to settle in and relax and those who want to have adventures. We spent almost our entire time at the cabin on the deck - large, comfortable, and relaxing - occasionally paddling the lake in a provided kayak or canoe. Away from the cabin there were lots of opportunities for hiking, rafting, fishing, and other outdoor adventures as well as exploring local history. Our hosts were very inviting and helpful.
It is our pleasure! The next time you come back, you will enjoy our brand new flagstone patio and fire place....which is right on the water. Thanks so much for staying at the Jumping Trout Lodge.

If you're seeking the peaceful, quiet setting of a private home on a beautiful, natural lake surrounded by mountains, and simply want to unplug, you'll like Jumping Trout Lodge. It is a place where you can turn off your cellphone, dispense with the television, park the car and unplug from the grid. Sit in comfortable chairs on the large deck overlooking the lake or in the adirondack chairs on the deck down the hill at the waterfront. Take one of the kayaks, rowboat or canoe out for a run around the lake. Fish for rainbow trout. Swim in the refreshing, cold water. Maybe, hike to one of the nearby natural hot springs for an adventure you won't soon forget. Enjoy a gas fire on the deck in the evening. Marvel at the nocturnal carpet of stars in the heavens. Enjoy an old-style dinner with conversation and fall asleep in complete darkness and quiet. Shower in the private, outdoor shower facility next to the house. These are some of the activities we enjoyed.
Jumping Trout Lodge is approximately 10 miles off U.S. 93 and another 5 miles from the town of Salmon. Golf and shopping are in town. We left the house only once during our week-long stay to drive and hike to the Gold Bug Hot Springs which my wife and I highly recommend. It's definitely worth the effort to get there.
What might we suggest to the owners? We would have preferred to have had the waterfront all to ourselves rather than have had to share it with the family staying in a nearby cabin. Certainly, everyone got along, but it was a little awkward.
Regarding ada-accessibility, although none in our party had access concerns, a person in a wheelchair would be limited to the main floor of the house and to the large, picturesque deck off the main floor that overlooks the lake. There is one bedroom on the main floor. Transiting down the somewhat steep path from the house down to the waterfront might be troublesome for some and impossible for a wheelchair.
We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay. Our Williams Lake area is so beautiful with so much to do, and it looks like you fully embraced it. In response to your comment about sharing the waterfront....We have 2 large lakefront lots which our two cabins share. The sharing of the waterfront and boats is fully explained prior to booking. Since the area is so large and since there is ample seating, most guests are fine with this. Our cabin is not wheelchair accessible, which is noted on the website.
