“Nice and calm environment” We stayed with Michelle and Gerard for ten days. It was a great time. Very calm pueblo, and La Bella Venture is a great place to relax and enjoy.

“Amazing exotic getaway just a few hours away from NYC” Frederick and his team welcomed us as if we were old friends. The villas are beautiful, well organized and have breathtaking views. Frederick assisted us in getting everything we needed: quads to wander around, a great cook (Nairobi) to take care of our meals, he advised us on where to go to the beach or for a quad/boat ride, was always there to help should there be any kind of problem... Definitely a place I recommend for a short or longer stay (3 days or more), be it with friends or with kids!

“Heaven” The minute I arrived with my boyfriend at Jan and Scott's villa, I fell in love with the Dominican Republic all over again. We had not come to Las Terrenas since the new airport and highways opened: it is so easy now to travel from New York. This was the perfect romantic getaway: tranquility, peace and beauty. The view is absolutely stunning, the house charming with a perfect spot for every moment of the day, Bienvenida and Rafael are so kind and helpful and the location ideal if you want to be close to town -a short 10mn drive-, or the beach -a 15mn-walk-, while at the same time being isolated, as if in your own little heaven. Next time we come, I am not looking for any other place than his paradise villa!

“Lovely” overall our stay was lovely . House was fully equipped to most part. The house is very centrally located to wonderful beaches near by and restaurants. The house is on cliff so be mindful to have a walk down on rocky road for all nearby beaches . We were total of six adults and two kids so two guest room were little too small with kids otherwise they were ok. Host is been extremely helpful in arranging cook, babysitter and basic details prior to our trip. Thanks for your help Kristy. You have beautiful house.

Nice place and great host.

Michelle and Gerard are naturally born great host they speak several languages fluently and offer a very nice environment without all the Electronics stuff that you do not really need on a real vacation except for Wifi! las Galeras is far from the crowded Punta cana and allows you to discover the real Dominican Republic instead of an Buffet in an all inclusive resort that you could get at your 4 stars hotel down the block from where you live... … see more

Legitimate Paradise...

To keep it short and sweet, the house, location, and amenities were everything that we imagined and more. Having traveled to Las Terrenas before, I already had a small grasp of the area, but Monica, her husband, the security, and house-keeping & cook Yani made our stay very pleasurable. Picture this. You wake up, to your coffee made just how you like it waiting for you (thanks to Yani.) After pouring yourself a cup, you decide to take a walk to the beach & quick dip in crystal-clear ocean, since you're about 100m away. By the time you arrive back, your favorite breakfast is made and ready on the outdoor deck, overlooking your personal pool and ocean. After breakfast, you go into town, whale-watching, maybe workout, and by the time you're done for the day, you get to go to sleep to the sound of the waves, and air-conditioning in your room. It was an amazing experience, and I wouldn't have traded it for the world. Highly recommend this house, as having Monica's local expertise & guidance, combined with the untouched beauty and true Dominican culture is something we'll never forget. Even Monica's awesome puppies made the experience more enjoyable! If I HAD to pick one thing that wasn't bad, just to know, is that Monica and her husband live upstairs on a separate side of the house. You can have as little to as much interaction with them as you want. I honestly wanted more interaction, as they were very nice, but they respected our privacy. Villa El Secreto - Charming Private Villa Steps from Las Ballenas Beach.
Absolutely Charming

Traveled to Villa El Secreto for our anniversary and fell in love with it. The property far exceeded our expectations. The deck and pool area with the surrounding gardens is the highlight. We are usually beach people but the pool was just so relaxing we spent most of our time there. The house was very clean and comfortable. Security was also excellent. We felt very safe the entire time we were there no matter where we were (on the property,on the beach, in town or walking home in the late evening. The house is very well lit at night and is located in a beautiful residential area. We tended to walk almost everywhere as that is what we enjoy doing but there are plenty of modes of transportation available. We went with the intention of cooking some dinners for ourselves but the restaurants are so good and inexpensive that we tried a different one every night. We only ate breakfast at the villa. Check out the Baronda restaurant in the Hotel aliesi just down the street from the villa. Service was excellent and the food terrific. Travel Tip: take along a small flashlight if you plan on walking home in the evening. The streets are fairly well lit but there are a few areas that are dark. Also there were a couple of short power outages and a flashlight came in very handy. Also, don't bother booking a transfer from El Catey airport. There is always a cab waiting and its cheaper than a transfer. Same for a return. Just tell the cabbie to turn left just past the Hotel Colibri and go about 250 metres. You cant miss it. Beach villa with a view! Las Terrenas DR
Beautiful house in picturesque, private setting.

Kristy and Johns house is a beautiful, spacious villa situated on a hill overlooking the ocean. The rooms are peaceful and cool and nicely appointed. Facilities are excellent and the layout very practical. There is a large terrace where we spent most of our home time. From here one looks out over palms to the ocean with a feeling of privacy. Sunsets are sublime. There is a plunge pool/jacuzzi which is lovely to relax in before or after a day at the beach. The town of Las Terrenas is a short drive away and the road is along the beach. You have miles of beach to choose from right from your doorstep. There are beach restaurants and bars close by and the locals are very friendly. There is a lovely vibe to the house and the area in general with plenty to do in the area if you are feeling adventurous. There is a perfect beach just at the bottom of the hill down from the house if you feel like staying close to home. The house was in good repair nicely decorated and the cleaning staff were efficient and friendly. We all had a great time. … see more
