INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The apartment is on the 1st floor of a 2-story house in a quiet residential neighborhood, and both bedrooms face the garden. There is a separate entrance in the front, which allows you to enter the house, and access the entryway for the apartment.
We live on the 2nd floor of the house and you are always welcome to contact us. Some of our previous guests we never met; with some we had fascinating conversations when we ran into each other, or when they asked us for suggestions.
A perfect place if you want to stay in a non-touristy neighborhood and experience San Francisco as locals do, yet be able to easily get to famous attractions and places of interest, by car or by public transport.
There is lots to do in the neighborhood -- get a breakfast crepe at Higher Grounds Coffee House; browse books (or catch a poetry reading / live music) at Bird & Beckett Books & Records; get a mocha at Bello Coffee or a chocolate croissant at Destination Baking Company; perhaps, indulge in a massage at the East-West Integrative Clinic. Balboa Park is very close and has lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a modern children's playground, and even a 100-ft long covered heated swimming pool.
If you feel like eating at home, get fresh groceries and famously great sandwiches from Roxie (3 min walk); Safeway or a number of independent local grocery stores on Mission (5 -7 min walk); or Whole Foods (15 - 20 min walk).
If you want to go out for dinner, we suggest Le P'tit Laurent (French), Gialina (Italian / pizza), or Tataki Canyon (sushi).
Wherever the night takes you, we promise you will have a great place to come home to!
There is plenty of free street parking close by -- and unlike most of the rest of San Francisco, the streets around us do not require a residential parking permit.
We are 10-15 minutes walk from either the Glen Park or Balboa Park BART station, which take you in no time into the Mission District, the Financial District, downtown, Union Square, Moscone Center, and the Embarcadero. It also gets you fast to the SFO airport, or other parts of the SF Bay Area (Berkeley, Oakland, or further away into the East Bay).
There are number of light rail lines and buses (with stops scattered between 3 and 10 min walk away from us) that take you throughout the rest of SF.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
If you would like to explore interesting or cool places in and around San Francisco, ask when you get here and we'd be very happy to provide recommendations.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN STAYING AT THE APARTMENT, please send us a message to TELL US ABOUT:
_ 1. YOURSELF and ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD STAY AT THE APARTMENT WITH YOU (including everyone's age and occupation), and
_ 2. THE PURPOSE OF YOUR TRIP TO SAN FRANCISCO.
Thanks for reading our listing!
Most importantly, relax and enjoy the place! We have tried hard to make it as comfortable as possible and hope that you will love it.
Unfortunately, we do not allow smoking or pets anywhere on the property (since the next guest may have allergies), or bringing to the apartment anyone other than the people you tell us about in your inquiry, or throwing parties of any kind (out of respect for our neighbors).
This apartment is in a very quiet residential neighborhood and we ask all guests to keep noise levels down after 8pm, including no conversations outside in the backyard, because the sound carries from the backyard to the neighbors' houses.
We hope that you would treat the apartment well and leave it in the same condition in which you found it :)

This was a great place and location for 4 adults and a 5 month baby when attending a conference at the Moscone Center. It's on a lower level making it easily accessible for a stroller. Many places in San Francisco were on an upper level with no elevator, so this was great. Bart was a 15 minute walk away, as were good restaurants. We only needed to park one night there, which was fairly easy to find. Our only complaint was some nights we wanted to just veg comfortably on a couch and watch TV, but you have to watch from the table as the kitchen/dining/living space are all the same space. Questions were always answered promptly and we were allowed to check in early, would definitely stay again. Just hope for some warmer weather next time

We LOVED our stay in this lovely townhome! It was very clean, modern, and had every amenity we needed. It is in a great location central to all that San Francisco has to offer. It was so nice to be able to tour the surrounding area each day and come home to a great kitchen and cook dinner each evening. Thanks to our hosts for providing such comfortable and well designed features that made our stay so memorable.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is located in a wonderful neighborhood, convenient to everything, and has free street parking that was easy to find. The place was well stocked with kitchen items, clean towels, TV with Netflix and local channels, and books to read. Chris and Tina were great. They made sure that we have everything that we needed and provided suggestions on things to do and see. We would stay again when we are in SF next time and would recommend Tina and Chris’ place to any of our friends.

Condo was very clean and neat. Nice newer appliances and furnishings throughout. Condo is very close to the I-280 which makes travel to downtown very quick and easy. Parking was free and readily available on the street. (No permits needed) Owners were very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend this condo to any group up to (4).

I stayed here in February 2014. Tina and Chris were great hosts and welcomed us in their beautiful and comfortable brand new house. Their place is very conveniently located to the city and to the entire bay area (10 min fast walk to the BART station); 3 blocks from the stop of the F and J Muni lines that take you directly to downtown SF, the Financial District, and SoMa. The apartment was sunny, spacious and impeccably clean, with modern brand new furniture. We highly recommend it and would love to stay with them again.
