Our home is centrally located with easy access to Muni on the 21 line, and twelve minute walk to BART. We're three blocks from Alamo Square Park and the famous Painted Ladies, and a fifteen minute walk to City Hall and the Asian Museum. Ice Cream? Yes excellent homemade, while you wait ice cream at Stricken on the Hayes Valley Green. Excellent cafes too, more than you can count, including the original Blue Bottle cafe, Ritual Coffee Roasters, Arlequin Cafe, and The Grove. Restaurants are plentiful in Hayes Valley including the delightful Bar Jules, (Their locally raised mussels on the grill are spectacular), Les Ros, for Vietnames cuisine, two Japanese restaurants, Domo for sushi, and Nojo for Japanese style Tapas. Boxing Room is an upscale and exciting Cajun restaurant, Jardinière, Absinthe, Zuni Cafe, and the list goes on.

Parking anywhere in the city is difficult and the same goes for Hayes Valley. If you have a car or rent one, you can park in front of our driveway except twice a week on Street Cleaning days from 8-10AM. If you are a member of Zip cars, we have a Zip lot just down the road at Hayes Green. Also off the Green is a bicycle rental shop working out of a shipping container. Did I forget to mention the best German food in town? Suppenküche has been in Hayes Valley for 25 years and have excellent wiener schnitzel, bratwurst and potato pancakes with homemade apple sauce. They also have a popular outdoor beer garden on the Hayes Valley Green.

Getting around is easy, and having Market street a ten minute walk away makes access to the downtown on the international collection of streetcars or on regular muni busess and trains easy. Mission and Delores is a short walk from our home and the Castro can be reached on foot in about 25 -30 minutes.
