We had such a wonderful time during our stay at the 'Art House' in Bernal Heights ! It's a very laid back, friendly and sunny neighborhood. The location is key, Cortland avenue had everything. Coffee houses, grocery store and many great restaurants. We enjoyed Mokis Sushi, Pequeos and the Vega to name a few. The location was ideal for our group of 4 adults and two teens. Parks, library etc. all on Cortland. . The house is very spacious, beautifully decorated with exquisite taste, very clean and equipped with all the daily needed utensils. It has a great little outdoor area with a hot tub and gas fire pit which we enjoyed in the evenings. Easy commute downtown the bus/Bart.
If you are staying over the weekend check out Farmer's Market nearby (10 min walk) for fresh fruits and vegetables. Will definitely be back!

We stayed at the art House with our two kids. The place was very clean, the kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable. The furnishings were really cool and there was a lot of interesting artwork-this place could be featured in a home décor magazine. It was such a luxury to have a hot tub and outdoor fire pit when it got cold at night, and the welcome package we received with local treats was such a nice touch. A car wasn't necessary since the house is just down the street from numerous restaurants (our favorites: Little Bee Bakery, Piqeuos, 903 Café) boutiques, coffee shops, a supermarket, and a playground, and the Mission District was easy to explore since it's the next neighborhood over. It was also a short walk to Bernal Heights Park, where we went to the top of the hill to see the spectacular views of the city.

Our family spent a week at this property and we truly enjoyed our stay. We were a little worried about having to find street parking at first but it proved to be really easy. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. Overall very well kept, clean and comfortable. The location couldn't be better. We loved being able to walk out the door and have great neighborhood restaurants, bars and shops right on Cortland. Our favorite morning spot was Sand Box for coffee and amazing pastries. We couldn't help but go every morning. The only complaint was putting on a few pounds.
