Description

Podere la Marronaia is a small and welcoming farmhouse situated on a small hill among vineyards and olive groves, close to the historical centre of San Gimignano (2km). The central part of this historical building is the watching tower built in 1200 ad as part of the city wall defence.
In the year 2000 Silvia and Luigi Dei, with their sons Pietro and Corrado, in love with this area, bought the property to make of it their residence and actual business activity.
Today Podere la Marronaia Farmhouse is a family runned farm, dedicated to tourist accommodation with flats to rent, and farming activity with biological production of wine and extra virgin olive oil with direct sale in the farmhouse.

The Blue Flat is composed of a nice kitchen-livingroom, 1 double bedroom, 1 private bathroom with shower. It's at the ground floor of our farmhouse and has 2 entrances: the main entrance is in the kitchen-livingroom facing the garden, the second entrance is in the bedroom and faces the courtyard. The flat is fully equipped with: oven, dishwasher machine, 4 fires, fridge+ freezer, crockery, tv sat, iron, hairdryer, little house appliances, free internet wireless connection..

The rate for the flat includes linen, towels, energy, water, final cleanings, use of the pool (summer) BBQ and patio and all farmhouse equipments. Independent heating on consumption. Free private parking at the accommodation.
Pets are not allowed. Possibility to attend to Tuscan cooking and Nordic walking courses, trekking trips, horse riding, guided tours of the area.
From the large garden, there is a birds eye view from the central Apennine until the Chianti hills and the Towers of San Gimignano, which offers an unforgettable landscape.
Podere la Marronaia is an ideal place for those who wish to spend a holiday in true relax without renouncing the commodity of being near the historical centre of San Gimignano. The town center is easily reachable, after 400 mt of white road we'll get the main road to San Gimignano (2 km). From here a sidewalk will allow you to get directly to the center.
In summertime is absolutely nice to go by bike or walking or jogging, and it's very easy to find people doing the same.
Nearby the farmhouse are also available: tennis courts (2,5 km), golf (12 km), horse riding (14 km) freeclimbing (12 km), trekking.
The most important towns of the region are also very easy accessible: Siena (40 km) km) Volterra ( 16 km) Pisa (80km), Lucca (90 km) and Arezzo are easy to reach even by car; Firenze is about 50km far from here and is easy to reach both with car or public transport (bus/train).
The family lives in an independent flat at the first floor and is always available to support you for all your needs, to plan your holiday and discover the Tuscan treasures.
