LOCATION, LOCATION: You won't believe what's behind our modest front door: Four elegant full suites ---Yellow, Green, Blue and Moroccan-- in a 5500 sq,ft, just-restored colonial house in the center of "Restaurant Row" across from the Instituto Allende. Enjoy the comforts of home with the amenities of a boutique hotel. A peaceful, affordable, chic oasis in the heart of town, 7 minute walk to the Jardin and Parque Juarez. Terraces, garden patios, courtyards, and enormous new "copper" kitchen and dining room for guests and their guests to enjoy. The living quarters are quiet, set back far from the madding crowd, yet step outside the front door and you are in the thick of the action. You don't need a car, as taxis cruise up and down, and will deliver you to any destination in San Miguel for $3 USD, 35 pesos. A fine collection of art and antiques, and Mexican handicrafts, collected over the owner's lifetime, adorn all the rooms. Beaten- copper repousse and hand-painted headboards, leather ottomans, unique Moorish lamps and lanterns, Bhutanese and Tibetan textiles add spices of the Middle East and Asia. Bougainvilla vines creep over the walls, and each terrace is a garden. Lemon and orange trees, jasmine, and lavender waft delicious perfumes, according to season.

The Green Suite is on the second floor, and shares a garden terrace with the Yellow Suite. It shares a large farmhouse kitchen with guests in the other three suites. It is our smallest and least expensive room, but couples are very happy there!

House rules

1. Well trained small dogs allowed for $20/day additional fee by request.
Guests arriving between the house of 9 pm and 9 am are requested to pay $25 2. in cash or pesos UPON ARRIVAL to whoever greets them at the door.
3. Smoking permitted only on the back terraces of the Blue Room and the Techo. Otherwise the smell affects other guests.
