North of the city, in the tranquil part of the Island, this cottage on 'Turtle Beach' is a wonderful place for your dream vacation. The Barrier Reef that shields the island is just off shore and provides calm waters for you to relax beside or to enjoy the many colorful species of fish just below the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. The water is very shallow and perfect for swimming in. Sit on the edge of our pier and soak up the calm beauty.
Turtle Beach offers two executive 1-bedroom Cottages, each with their own wrap around porch perfect for lazing around and enjoying a morning coffee or a late afternoon nap (each can accommodate up to 4 people). Or you may choose to kick it up a notch and explore all that beautiful Belize has to offer; including, but not limited to, snorkeling, diving the 'Blue Hole', fishing, exploring the many Maya Ruins, cave tubing, or zip lining through the jungle to name a few. We can help you arrange all tours in advance. Please let us know and we would be happy to help.
Each cottage comes complete with 2 air conditioners (bedroom and living-room), 3 ceiling fans, queen bed with fresh linen, dresser, closet with hangers, security safe (large enough for iPads, 15 inch laptop computers etc.), modern style granite kitchen complete with stainless steel fridge and stove and drinking water cooler, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, living rooms with 40 inch flat screen TV, DVD player, sofa, (sofa bed will be supplied if there are additional guests), table, chairs and plenty of books to read. 10GB Smart Wi-Fi (nominal fee for minutes used) and a prepaid cellular phone (nominal fee). There is a modern indoor bathroom complete with sink, toilet, shower and hot and cold running water from our fresh water well. Also, the outside porch has plenty of seating for relaxation.
Things to know about where you are:
The distance from San Pedro Town to the cottages is 8 miles North (about a 3 hour romantic walk along the beach) or a short boat ride by water taxi. Our water taxi service is called 'Coastal Express' and operates from 6am - 10:30pm daily. This is very convenient for those who wish to explore the city of San Pedro or tour the island. (Helpful tip – for those who want to go back and forth to the city everyday, consider purchasing a Golden Pass from Coastal Express which is good for 7 days). You can also get here by golf cart but the road is very bumpy so we do not recommend it.
Things to bring from home:
Swim trunks, flip fops, snorkel gear, suntan lotion, mosquito repellant and a care free relaxed attitude! Also for those avid fisherman, this is a great spot for fly fishing for Bonefish (Albula vulpes), Tarpon, and Permit fish (Trachinotus falcatus) right off the pier, so bring your gear.
When you arrive in San Pedro:
Your stay with us includes a meet and greet at the San Pedro Airport and we will guide you to your vacation cottage.
Things you may wish to purchase in San Pedro:
There are two restaurants in near-by resorts. One is a 10 minute walk South of your cottage and another is 15 minutes North of your cottage. We recommend that you bring or purchase groceries for at least 1 day after you arrive. The fresh fruit here is excellent and we highly recommend the Mango, Papaya, and Dragon Fruit. Note that you do not need to buy drinking water since we provide you with a 5 gallon jug of water which can be refilled for a small fee and there is filtered fresh well water available on site for showers and washing. If you contact us via email, we can purchase a small amount of starter groceries for you to have waiting for you in your cottage. Note that most grocery stores in San Pedro are open until 6pm. Also note that fresh fish and lobster can be bought off our pier from the local fisherman (ask the caretaker if you wish to purchase some).
Notes about the on-site caretaker:
We have an on-site caretaker staying in another smaller cottage at the back of the property. He is your contact to help you with your questions and ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Be sure to ask him about his fire pit dinners (small fee). He is there for your security at night so feel free to contact him at any time. If you have a batch of laundry that needs cleaning be sure to contact your caretaker and he will arrange it with housekeeping. If you would like to purchase fresh fish from the local fisherman, ask him. If you are interested in taking a day trip somewhere be sure to ask him that too.
This peaceful property opens up to miles of beautiful white sand beach. The climate here is wonderful and the local Belizeans are warm and friendly people. We are certain you will enjoy your stay with us. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the island! The two cottages can be rented separately or contact us to check availability to rent both at the same time....Read more

What a location! A quiet and secluded part of ambergris Caye with the awesome beach at my doorstep and the reef just offshore. Amazing views from the porch, with vibrant sea life right off the private dock. The cabana had the beach cottage feel, but had all the amenities. The location is a ways from the bustle of San Pedro Town, which is great for peace and quiet but does make it a bit hard to get to. Fortunately there's lots to do within walking distance - swimming, snorkeling, bike riding, and fishing to name a few. The staff were very helpful in organizing adventures further away (e.g. snorkeling at Hol Chan - a no brainer can't miss!). They were always available and kept the property in top shape.
