Comfortable, modern, south facing villa with lovely views towards the sea. Private, heated swimming pool with terrace and barbeque area in large garden. Not overlooked. Air conditioning in all bedrooms. Restaurants and cafes in nearby Santa Barbara de Nexe and in Estoi. Comfortably furnished and well equipped, an ideal base for a family holiday and for exploring the region.

Getting around

Because we are in a quiet location a car is essential if you are to get the most out of your stay. We are within easy access of the A22 motorway, which means that you can visit any point on the Algarve by day - or night. Alternatively, if you don't want to drive to dinner the local Uber service is fast, reliable and cost-effective and will be able to pick you up and transport you to your Restaurant. There are two buses each way each day into Faro, via Santa Barbara de Nexe.

Interaction with guest

After you have paid your balancing payment you will be provided with access details for the villa, plus the contact number of our local villa manager who will be able to help you in the unlikely event of a problem. He manages the Maid, Gardener and Pool attendant and also has details of local tradesmen who can resolve any minor maintenance issues which may arise during your stay. Please note that, which effect from April 2020 we have increased the length of time between guest stays to allow our Maid additional time to fully clean and disinfect the villa. Wherever possible we will leave a full day between checkout and the following check-in. Where this is not possible we ask you to respect your earlier checkout and later check-in times.

“Gorgeous villa lacking customer service”

We booked this villa for our belated honeymoon based on the reviews..... boy, what a mistake! The first problem we noticed was that a wide angle, infra red cctv camera which is placed on the main bedroom terrace is constantly on, pointing toward the bedroom & certainly a cause for concern with regard to privacy (photos of the camera in situ are available) After our first week we were expecting the maid to arrive to change the bedding & replenish the toilet rolls around the villa, remove / clean dirty towels as stated in the welcome pack at the villa ..... she never arrived & worse still the sheets & toilet rolls are locked in a cupboard to which the guests have no access. Therefore if you bring your children here & bed sheets get messed up due to whatever as well as the fact that we don’t want to sleep under the same sheets for two weeks you cannot change the bedding. You are allocated one toilet roll per week per bathroom..... really? Despite repeated requests to Graeme, most of which he ignored (screen shots of text messages available) this situation was only resolved by us purchasing both sheets & toilet rolls at our expense. Further problems we had noticed were that on going down to the pool for the first time the previous occupants dirty towels were stacked on a table by the pool, sign of things to come! Also, according to the instructions the gas needs switching on at the bottle in the store at the back of the villa, fortunately it had been left on as despite the key turning in the lock it would take herculean effort to open the store door. Prior to these problems arising communication had been fantastic & to be fair we had an early check in & late check out, it would seem however that this changes as & when a problem occurs, Graeme offered a rebate for the 5 days we were effectively not provided with a service which turned out to be £100 .... less than one days rental fee! We found this insulting to say the least when we had in effect been expected to stay in a villa with dirty sheets etc for the remaining 5 days of our stay & not receiving the service for which we had paid. We regularly stay in villas in this area & this is the first time we have encountered such shabby customer service (see our review & counter review of ourselves from Casa Mar), we certainly feel that having paid over £1,700 for 12 days that a better experience should have been offered. The villa itself is gorgeous, although it IS overlooked contrary to what is stated, the views are fantastic & this part of the Algarve is stunning. We will be returning here again unfortunately just not to Casa Bica.
