Requires a 2 night stay for any stay that includes a Fri or Sat night.
The Victoria Farmhouse House is a 1930's wooden Craftsman home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths with a fenced yard for a pet or young children. There are two Queen Bedrooms for adults, a child's bunk bed room and all wood floors for easy care for families. The Victoria house is located right in town with easy street parking. Washer/Dryer ( no coins ). Outside smoking ok, patio provided. Well equipped kitchen, including many individually wrapped complimentary condiments and food stock.
The Victoria house is recommended for short term stays for families and/or folks with pets, while staying right in Santa Barbara city. And for business stays of any length offering a house full of amenities at an excellent rate.
The Victoria is an older house. It was the manager's house for the large stately Victorian still adjacent to the rear property line we were told, and dates to the 1930's.
There is an inherent charm to this all wooden home, which was originally very simple in design. But some very functional additions have gone in over the years. We also tiled the kitchen counter, painted in and out and cleaned her very well. The kitchen is original size and very airy and happy. It is in the kitchen where the farmhouse feel is remembered. The sun filters in over the kitchen window and around the room and easily recalls a simplier time in a farmland setting.
There is no added glitz, so please expect the VIC to be useful and practical and a safe place to stay, right in town. There is a working fireplace, warm wood floors, a great 40" TV and comfortable furniture.
The photo of the house's layout also delineates the entire property borders. The outer edge of the layout page indicates the fence edges. So there is only a small border of yard at the Victoria house. It is fenced all around and it is enclosed.
The VIC has a great kitchen, as mentioned, and a good modern stove with a delayed timer as well. You can make full meals for your entourage, and you will find everything you need on hand. Dealing with children or babies will be so much easier at the VIC, and good savings will be had from preparing meals at home. There are catsup, mustard, mayo and margarine and jam packets, as well as some single serve cereal boxes, oatmeal packs, coffee packs and spices. Also on hand are pastas and a variety of can goods, including corn, beans and peas, etc. We try and stock the basics, which we know from our own travels are burdensome to buy (and usually end up leaving most of it behind!). Most is already there for you at the Vic House, in unopened self serve packets or store packaging.
Speaking of babies or extended stays, there is also a washer and dryer, non coins.
The neighborhood is a pride of ownership home owners and there is a lasting mix of older mid century as well as Victorian homes, keeping the historic nature of Santa Barbara intact.
There is outside smoking only, and there is a patio to use for that. Please, no parties or after parties. It is tempting, as the VIC is in town and easy to return to after some nightlife. But it is a residential street and we need to keep it quiet after 10pm (County curfew).TripAdvisor property ID 2549253...Read more

This house is in a great location, you just few steps from State Street, Sushi Bar or Starbucks and the parking is not an issue. Check-in & check-out was easy. Communication with Dave & Eliza was great. House is big enough & clean. You can find there everything what you need during your stay, there is a BBQ on the back yard, washer/dryer, kitchen is well stocked.
I'd recommend this vacation rental.
