Just a 10 minute walk to the Santa Fe Plaza, this brand new home was completed November 2006 and featured on the cover of the Santa Fe Realty Guide's, March 2007 issue. It has the classic beauty of the Pueblo Revival style architecture that everyone loves, with all the amenities of a new home.
One enters the house through a small walled garden and into a Great Room with 11 foot ceilings of vigas and tongue and groove boards, and plaster walls. With the large windows, skylight in the kitchen, and double doors leading to the intimate back walled patio, this house is filled with light. The decor has a tasteful southwest feel and references Santa Fe's Hispanic and Native American cultural influences. There is a kiva in the living room, fired by a gas log for convenience, and the floors are beautifully tiled throughout the house with the exception of the bedrooms, which are carpeted. The kitchen is a dream of stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and cherry cabinets. The dining room table seats 6-8 comfortably and the kitchen is equipped with enough china, glasses, flat ware and pots and pans to have a dinner party or you could grill on the back patio!
Both bedrooms have queen size beds and walk-in closets. The master bedroom suite has two sinks and a fabulously open glass and tile shower that is big enough for two. Both bathrooms have beautiful tile, cherry cabinets, added hand showers and two big thick terry bathrobes per bathroom for your comfort. Due to severe allergies, this home will not accomodate any pets - visiting or otherwise!! All of this, on a quiet residential street on the north side of town, with no traffic and plenty of parking. Welcome to Santa Fe!
This property may be rented with Casa Bella on Sunset which is located next door.

"This was a 4 girl vacation trip and we all enjoyed it so much. I personally have visited Santa Fe several times and this is the best accommodations I have ever had. We all loved the décor, cleanliness, amenities, location, etc of this beautiful home. We cooked in one evening and found every possible thing we needed to prepare our dinner. The property owner has thought of everything to make the stay just like home. I will certainly ask for this property on any future visit to Santa Fe."
"Thanks again for helping me and my husband choose a home away from home in Santa Fe. We had a great time staying at La Fantasita for two weeks. As soon as we entered the lovely home, we felt right at home. The owners have made it very cheerful and comfortable, and all of our needs were met. When we leave in the morning to return to Saint Louis, many special memories will go with us!"
Additional amenities include: ipod connection, printer, walking distance to the plaza, canyon road & art galleries, cat 5 internet, cd player, pc to TV connections, outdoor dining and patio....Read more

This was an absolutely beautiful, perfect house for our 5-day visit. It is spacious (for 4) and stocked with everything you will need and more. It is a short walk to the Plaza (10-15 minutes), but far enough that you can enjoy peace and quiet in the evenings. One down side: if you are a star gazer, there is a courtyard with a few other units and all units (including ours) have lights that stay on at night. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this house and location.

It was a great experience. The property was clean, spacious and well appointed. It was conveniently located (walk to the Plaza) and quiet. Parking was easy. All our needs were meet. We would certainly stay here again.

La Fantasita is a lovely home. The owners have thought of everything to make it a cheerful and comfortable home away from home. It could not have been better equipped. It is in a quiet neighborhood with only a short drive to the opera and close to artist Road which took us to the mountains near the ski area to hike. Our son and daughter-in-law joined us for five days. They loved the home, and the kitchen was a special treat for them as they are vegans and they were able to prepare perfect vegan meals in the fantastic kitchen. The area around the home was nice; however, there are a couple of places where you do not have a sidewalk when walking to the Plaza, and it is necessary to walk in the street. This was not a serious problem for us, but some people might prefer to have a sidewalk to walk on to access the downtown area. Also, the area could use more street lights. We would definitely stay at La Fantasita again.
