There are lots of ways to get here. We rented a 4WD SUV in Liberia and drove down. Not for the faint of heart in the rainy season! We forded two rivers on the way down! Definitely adds to the memories of the trip:). The road is unpaved from Cabo Blanco to Pocote, and again from Cobano to Playa Santa Teresa. Its about 120 miles, and took over 4 hours. Just an FYI! You can fly into Tambor Beach area if you prefer, and can get a taxi to deliver you:)
Having prefaced with that, let me tell you that the location was worth every minute of the struggle to get there! You look straight out to the best break on Playa Santa Teresa. Every nite, just a few steps away, we watched surfers tackle the waves. It was great fun!
The house has everything you need. The kitchen is well equiped, and interestingly, its outside. The benefit to that is that when you get out of the pool and want a drink, the kitchen is a few steps away and you don't drip all over the house:) We used the BBQ- its propane- and it worked well too. They kindly provided a nice assortment of fresh fruit for our arrival, and there was a bottled water dispenser.
The downstairs has three bedrooms, and two have their own AC. One of my teenage sons slept in the one that depended on the living room AC, and had no complaints. The upstairs bedroom has its own AC too, but it struggled to keep the room cool in the afternoon when the sun would beam in. We didn't have a problem with that, as we were usually busy in the afternoon, or cooling in the pool:). At night it was plenty comfortable for sleep.
