Cottage Profile This cozy three bedroom cottage, located in Oliphant, is on the shores of Lake Huron. It's just one block away from Oliphant sand beach, and 1/2 km away from Lonely Island Public Beach. The cottage is located on a dead end road and situated on a decent sized lot. Large lawn areas surround the cottage provide a great area for the kids to play. Spend some quality family time in the large backyard roasting marshmallows and hotdog's around the fire pit. The cottage is all on one floor and open concept. The living area features a wood burning fireplace, this is a great place to curl up on a cool summer evening. You will also find a television with satellite, two couches and a chair. Adjacent to the living area is a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has all the amenities of home. It contains a fridge, stove/oven, and microwave. There is a decent amount of cupboard and counter space. The dining table seats six people comfortably. There are patio doors here that take you out to an outdoor deck. The deck has patio furniture, a patio table with chairs, and a propane barbeque for those evenings when you want to dine outside. The three bedrooms at the cottage each contain a double bed, one of the bedrooms also has a single bed in it. All bedrooms have a nice sized window in each. A three piece washroom with bathtub is located by the bedrooms. We rented the cottage the last week of august. The weather was not great but our stay was awesome. Our children had fun and so did our dogs. I got to relax and enjoy the surrounding with my husband. Over all a great little place, well equipped and cozy. I loved it and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway

This was a great cottage!! Plenty of room and all the comforts of home (minus the air conditioning, naturally). There's a beach about a 5 minute walk from here and it's a wonderful beach!! We had an excellent time. One of our best family vacations to date! We'll be back for sure! :)

This cottage is great. The proximity to a beautiful sandy beach is within a 5 minute walk and is located just outside of Sauble so the area is quiet with fun and excitement just a ten minute drive away. The backyard is large enough for kids to play and is closed in with a thick wall of trees. I would not recommend this cottage for late night partiers as the surrounding area seems to be geared around families or quieter people (although we were able to stay up late each night and chat around a fire while listening to music at a low volume). It is however great for families and small groups who want to enjoy the area.
I do warn that the bathtub is not shower appropriate for those who need that sort of thing.
All in in all, I definitely recommend this cottage to those that are looking for a relaxing vacation in close proximity to everything.

This is a lovely spot with a real cottage feel. Wood furniture, great for curling up and reading a book. The kitchen is well equipped. The beach is close by, but it is a very long way from the beach to the water. Still, when we stayed at the end of the summer it was quiet and relaxing even though the cottages are pretty close together.

not coming back!
I have to admit the weather did not help but the location and cottage where below average.
Not within walking distance to anything like the beach ,town ,restaurants and so on!
The cottage was not comfortable for longer stays like a rainy day.
