Cottage Profile A charming cottage located across the road from the beach at French Bay, on the south end of Sauble Beach, with a trail leading down to the fantastic waters of Lake Huron. This is the perfect spot for you and your family to make summer memories! The cottage is located one road back from the waterfront, and it's a mere 3 minute walk to the beach from the cottage via a private right-of-way path. The cottage is 45 ft away from a gravel road and with only twenty cottages on the road, there is little traffic. Features of the cottage include a large back deck that is fairly private and plenty of space between cottages, so you're not too close to the neighbours. Plus there is plenty of grassy yard space for the kids to play. Inside the cottage you'll find a cathedral-style peaked ceiling with windows at the top that let in great light, a 24" LCD TV with cable and a DVD player, and a wood burning fireplace for cooler evenings. The quaint kitchen has many of the amenities of home including fridge, stove, microwave and more. The dining table and six chairs are situated by bright windows with a great, peaceful view of the yard. A couch and comfy chair sit adjacent to the kitchen area in the living room space. The one bathroom at the cottage is a two-piece with a toilet and sink. The cottage shower is located outdoors - on the back deck, and is enclosed for privacy. There are three bedrooms at the cottage. One bedroom has a queen bed, another has a double bed and the third bedroom offers single bunkbeds. Each room has a bright window in addition to windows between the top of the walls and the peaked ceiling. For your outdoor enjoyment the back deck offers a patio table and six chairs under an umbrella, and a propane BBQ for easy summer feasts. There is no public parking to access the one-mile long private sandy beach of French Bay, so this cottage's proximity makes it a perfect setting for a family with children of all ages. With a less than five minute walk to get back to the cottage from the beach, you can prepare a quick lunch or use the blender to create tropical drinks to sip on during the afternoon! After dinner, return to the beach to watch the world famous sunsets and finish the evening sitting around the fire pit toasting marshmallows and telling stories. The surrounding area is great for riding a bike, going for a walk on the beach or strolling the long country roads nearby. The downtown area of Sauble Beach is a quick 4 km away, so you can pick up groceries, grab an ice cream, and check out the local shops and activities!
