The kitchen is small to start with and has limited counter space. There are many unused and duplicate utensils and equipment belonging to the owner that make storage space for guests limited. I counted 8 tongs. Mattresses were all soft pretty worn out.
this cottage except for the kitchen is very roomy and the gas fireplace nicely heats it on cool nights. there were only 2 wired in smoke detecters and the test button for the upstairs one did not work.
renters agreement very strict on guests. Only registered guests allowed on property so don,t count on entertaining.

We were very pleased with the cottage, facilities and location to the lake. Sauble beach is a lovely beach however, this is our third visit to this beach and we have yet to experience its beauty without the cold wind coming off the lake. Furthermore, we were not impressed with the walk on fee of $3 per person. For these reasons will will not return to Sauble. It has nothing to do with the cottage.

A wonderful stay! The cottage was bright and clean and had all the ammenities you could think of (including a rubber dingy for the beach!). The location was great especially since we have 2 little boys (2 & 4); close enough to walk to the beach and to the down town. Lots of space indoors and out to play and it was always a race to the hammock.

When we arrived the cottage was clean, tidy and very inviting with a lovely fire burning in the fireplace. We felt at home right away!
We enjoyed our stay, very much, and we really loved the fact that we could bring our Chocolate Lab with us. The weather, unfortunately, did not cooperate but we were warm and cozy at Dove Song cottage!
One thing that is not unique to this cottage but is typical in the Sauble Beach area is the foul smelling water. Bottled water is a must!
The location of this cottage is perfect! Close to the beach and the down town area. Easy walking everywhere.
“Nice spot that seems to be in transition to a great spot. Great”

The home was lovely, seemed to have just been painted, the paint cans were in the Kitchen Cupboard, rendering it useless for food. Loved the hammock. The advertised TV in the master bedroom was either a puzzle we could not solve ( and we are fairly electronically based) or it didn't work and was a drawing card. A place to play cards, or do a puzzle would be nice and there seems to be room if worked at. I pressure washed the Picnic table to get the mold off. Big rooms, open concept was great. We never used the upstairs balcony, have you seen it? A few more instructions would have been nice, it was > than a day before we felt comfortable enough that the shed was part of the property and found the hammock. Having said all that, we had a great vacation and liked the site. Thank You.

It was really nice to get exactly what was promised. The home is clean and modern on a laarge lot. It's great for kids too.
While it's really easy to walk to the grocery store, the beach and other points of interest it's just that right distance from the noise. This helps to keep it a sanctuary.
