From the moment we entered this cottage we knew we were going to have a wonderful experience. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and homey. Although close to its neighbours, the cottage was well screened and had a feeling of privacy. The rental process was easy and directions to the cottage were easy to follow.
The cottage was located very close to the main beach at Red Bay where we could watch families with their young children and dogs playing in the water and sand. The beach area was well maintained and very clean.
This cottage was well located as a place to explore the area from. We travelled down the Lake Huron side as far as Southampton and up the Georgian Bay side well past Colpoy's Bay. There are numerous gardens in the area that are open to the public for a very small donation.
Wiarton, the closest shopping community, provided all we could have wanted including a large grocery store, liquor store, a marvelous butcher shop on the main street, and a large fruit and vegetable market just outside of town that also had excellent baked goods.
This is a cottage where you can be as busy or as relaxed and laid back as you choose.

The cottage's bed were aweful..i ended up sleeping on the sofa because my back was so sore. There were no fans and a few nights it was really hot in the cottage. It said in it's description that it had it's own beach which was sorta true..but not really...there was a mucky grassy path to the water...silty but not really a beach. There are white carpets so we were really nervous that our children may accidently soil the carpet. It was very clean though but i likely would not rent it again.

Excellent location on the beach...30 sec walk to the public beach. Clean and spacious cottage. Water is from a well and smelled like sulphur...people from the city will notice. No air conditioning but with all the ceiling fans and the many windows, we never felt uncomfortable. Lots of large spiders everywhere and lots of bugs outside. Couldn't enjoy the beautiful covered porch because of them. Beach is great. Shallow and calm water for miles so it's safe for small kids. No cell phone reception in this cottage. You have to walk to the main street to get a bar or two.

This was a perfect cottage for our family. The beach was lovely. Our children loved meeting children in the nearby cottages. Our beloved dog was welcome. What a wonderful family vacation we had! Thank you.
