Frogtown Cottage is located close to the Georgia State Railroad Museum, Savannah History Museum, Savannah Children's Museum, Battlefield Memorial Park, the Savannah Visitors Center, and the SCAD Museum of Art. This home is also an excellent option for families visiting SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) as it is very close to Barnard Village, Boundary Hall, Turner House, Eichberg Hall and The Hive/Dyson House.
The home was originally built in 1860 and was used as home for workers at the nearby Roundhouse for the Georgia Railroad. In fact, there are 2 other yet to be restored worker homes owned by the Coastal Heritage Society next door. Stroll right around the corner to enjoy access to great historic attractions. From the back porch you can still see the smokestack rising over the area.
The interior of the home offers a living area with gas fireplace and flat screen TV. To the right of the living room you will find a Queen bedroom which attaches to a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. This bath also opens onto the eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and stackable washer and dryer. To the left of the living area you will access to the additional 2 guest bedrooms. There is also an additional full bath with walk-in shower which attaches to those rooms which include a 2 Twin bedroom with TV and a Queen Bedroom. Both of these bedrooms offer flat screen Tvs. The Queen bedroom opens out to the back porch. You will also find access to the back porch and fully fenced yard from the kitchen. The back porch offers a gas grill and 2 tables with combined seating for 6.

We enjoyed our stay at Frogtown. The beds were comfortable which is a must. There was plenty of space in the house. We didn't try to use all of the appliances but what we did try worked just fine. The weather allowed us to enjoy some time on the back deck where we were entertained by the resident woodpeckers.
The only trouble we had was locating some of the towels. It was a bit of a hunt to find all of the towels.

We were in town for a wedding so we didn't use the cottage as much as we thought we would but, what a great place to stay! We had 6 adults and one child..It is a comfy place with ample seating in the living room to gather and talk about the day. The bedrooms are well sized and beds are comfortable, each had a fan. Bathrooms are a good size and have large standing showers. The kitchen is well stocked with coffee maker, and a little table, etc. The porch and backyard make you wish you could stay longer and soak up the sun. Great for kids to run in in the morning while your getting ready for the day! My only bummer moment was realizing the doors to the bedrooms are slatted which doesn't cut down on the noise from other areas of the house. That's why I say great for groups but ... bring a sound machine if you have light sleepers. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to River Street. Plan on a short but pleasant walk to cafés and restaurants, there is a gas station on the corner that is good for quick items. Parking was not an issue on the block around the Residence Inn next door, and we parked in front of the cottage with no issues! We had a problem with the air the first night which was resolved quickly and the communication was great with the rental company! Overall a great place to stay, easy check in/ out. We were happy to have found it!

My family and I stayed for 3 nights in February. The cottage is very spacious, nicely furnished with comfortable beds.
The cab driver found it easily after picking us up from the train station.
It was nice to have some soap, towels, trash bags and laundry detergent to start out with. We got some bottled water from the convenience store down the street.
The location is not in the heart of the downtown area however the free dot Shuttle runs daily from 7:30 am and one can ride into the historic area anytime. The stop is about 3 blocks from the property, just a short walk.
There are several places to eat within a few minutes walk if you do not want to go far.

We had a great time staying at the Frogtown Cottage. The home provided a very warm and comfortable environment, as well as everything we needed for our 3-day stay. The location was within walking distance to everything we wanted to experience during our Savannah get-away. The booking, check-in & check-out process was the easiest I have ever experienced! The management company even called us the day after our arrival to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will definitely stay here during any future trips to Savannah!

We very much enjoyed staying at Frogtown Cottage. The house is beautifully maintained and very spacious. We were 6 adults and 2 small children and we fit perfectly. The outdoor patio and yard was a great place to spend the evenings with the family. We really enjoyed that this home was in a great location walking distance to many of the sites in Savannah. The check-in and check-out process was painless and the Tybee vacation Rental company was very welcoming.
