We really liked the condo. Had everything we needed, was only a few minutes walk from the beach and from the marina, had a nice outdoor space. I think this condo probably has one of the best outdoor spaces, since it has a spread-out ground level area with the grill and table/chairs.
The one problem we had was that the pool ended up being closed because it wasn't seasonal yet, but no one mentioned this to us. That was disappointing, since we walked to the beach and found that it was closed.
"Wonderful Island but villa in need of repair and cleaning."

We have returned to the island for the past 5 years and enjoyed our stay immensely. There are so many wonderful things to do and the island is beautiful. Unfortunately, this year our villa was in need of several repairs and was not very clean. Everything from bed sheets, to bathroom fans and the outdoor patio area had broken and/or worn out items for repair/replacement. The villa itself was dirty in several areas. I did email my concerns to the staff with which we booked and they were very gracious and promised to let the owners and the cleaning staff know our feedback. Who knows if they did? I cannot say enough about how wonderful the island is though. Our family loves Hilton Head.
First, I would like to thank you for choosing Beach Properties of Hilton Head and taking the time to complete our e-comment form. We value our guest’s comments.
I apologize for the cleaning issues you encountered upon arrival and please know that I did share your comments with the owners of the housekeeping company that services that villa and also with our Beach Properties inspector. We feel that we have all the appropriate inspection processes in place so that this does not occur, but obviously this fell short on this occasion. I hope that you will give Beach Properties of Hilton Head another opportunity to show the type of results we have tried to build our reputation on!!!!
Thank you again for choosing Beach Properties of Hilton Head and hope that you will think of us when planning your next vacation

Though not beachfront...allowed us wonderful, convenient access to same and great proximity to Salty Dog.
Weather ( thank God ) was exceptional every day...so, the September visit was blessed to its fullest !

My family and I enjoyed our stay. It was a spacious unit. The trip was compromised, causing early need to leave on Friday due to Mold that had resurfaced in the master bathroom. My daughter and I are allergic to mold and began experiencing asthma symptoms on Friday morning. In hindsight, I do recall smelling bleach upon arrival and assume now that was to clean visible mold prior to our arrival. For this reason alone, we will not be revisiting this unit.
One separate note is that the master bedroom window was broken off it's hinge. We alerted the facility managers who sent someone to put it back on it's hinge but we were instructed to not open the window again.
Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your recent visit with us in Hilton Head.
We will review the items you pointed and correct accordingly and truly apologize for the inconvenience. I do know that the window issue is scheduled for repair by Pella Windows and the issue with mildew has not resurfaced as of today.
We hope to welcome you to Hilton Head in the future and will strive to offer a better experience on your next stay.

My daughter and I have been to Hilton Head Island many times over the last 20 years, mostly for conferences for me and fun for her. We have always stayed in the same hotel. This time, with the addition to her one year old daughter, we decided to come for fun and wanted a more homelike experience. Our rental was all that we could ask for. It was a short walk from the shore, well maintained, and very comfortable. Probably the only complaint we had was one other renter who took up two parking spaces with his truck most of the week. Even the weather worked well with us, being sunny and upper 80's to low 90's all week, unlike home which was raining and 60's the entire week. We are definitely talking about doing this again.

We had a wonderful time at the Sea Pines Bluff Villa. It was very clean and had plenty of room for our family of 5. I felt comfortable with my 15 month old baby crawling on the floor, and I'm very picky about cleanliness. It was nice to be able to walk 200 yards through the trees to the ocean. I guess it was really the bay, but it was just as nice. We also enjoyed walking to the South Beach Marina for delicious meals at the Salty Dog Restaurant(s) and the very affordable dolphin cruise that left from the Marina. The pool was also a short walk abd very nice. We enjoyed a short drive to Guiseppe's in Sea Pines and ventured out to the best seafood on Hilton Head at the mom and pop restaurant, The Sea Shack. Karen from the rental office was amazing and so helpful. She sent us everything we needed ahead of time and let us know that she was a phone call away if we needed her, which we didn't because everything was perfect. We look forward to returning to Hilton Head next year and would love to stay in the same villa. Thanks for a great trip.

1704 Bluff Villa is well located and generally meets our needs, but does need updating in some areas. The living room furniture is low and not easy to get up and down from for older renters. The carpeting is also ragged and very stained. The sink in the guest bathroom should be replaced and the TV in the second bedroom doesn"t get good reception on several channels. None of these things are essential, but they do detract from the unit.

the condo was great..not beautiful but totally comfortable. the great room provided a large place for all the kids/cousins and friends to spend time together. there was plenty of comfortable furniture for 8 people to sit on and watch tv and visit.

This is our second time staying in the Bluff Villas in South Beach in Sea Pines and we really enjoy it! It's great to walk 100 yards to get ice cream, go out for dinner or lunch or order a pizza. The marina has fun kids activities and the walk to the beach is across the street. The convenience is terrific. The Bluff Villas are a great value for a one week rental. 1704 is very nice and comfortable. We had a crawling baby and a 3 year old who loved the place. Very safe for kids. Bbq and back patio was nice to have as well.

The unit we were in is starting to show it's age as the living room furniture was worn and somewhat uncomfortable. The master bed room was good but the twin beds in the 2nd bedroom left something to be desired. Otherwise we had a restful and pleasureable stay.
One other issue: bicyclist are required to remain on the cycle paths where they exist. I think more experianced cyclist, who know and obey traffic rules, should have the option of riding the roads as it is not possible to ride at any speed on the paths which are populated by many children and inexperianced riders who don't obey traffic rules or watch where they are going putting themselves and others at hazard.

We enjoyed our stay at 1704 Bluff. We enjoy the South Beach area and we do lots of bicycling. Having the patio was convenient for us to keep our bikes there and we are also close to the beach. The unit is nice and roomy. We have always been pleased with Beach Properties. We had a problem with the dishwasher and it was taken care of as soon as possible.

I have spoken on 2 separate occasions about this experience in detail. I was told I would be contacted again by written correspondence by someone in a managerial position and never received it. It is a sad and unfortunate situation when ones critique or comments are disregarded or dismissed.
We were dissapointed to read that our two phone conversations and email communication following the reciept of your guest survey was not a sufficient response. We take great pride in collecting guest feedback regarding our product and service and use this information to continually improve so that all of our guests have the best possible experience and choose to come back to Hilton Head and Beach Properties.

We have always received great services from Beach Properties. We really like the condo for our family. We have stayed in this particular condo a couple of times. It is always very clean and ready for guests. We have 2 children and the set up is perfect. We really love the location. It is walking distance to the South Beach Marina. We often walk over in the evening for the kids activities and a couple scoops of ice cream. This particular condo is a little outdated and needs refurbished in the master bath. The patio location is wonderful. If you are just coming from the beach, it is a great place to hose off and store all your beach gear for the next day.
We will definitely stay in 1704 Bluff Villa again!
